What's with conspiracies and superstitions on DBA lately? Every time I log on there seems to be a new one.

How did I miss this thread before? I'm sitting here snickering like mad in front of my computer while my family tries to *not* ask me what it is, lol..
I had to think about this a little - come to think of it we do have some nicks for them, aside from using either the actor's names or their numbers - ha...

Rufflefluff? Fancy*Huffs* Some of those made me lol though, especially the Eccleston ones. I'm actually watching him on Heroes right now since my roomie bought the boxset. I love him so much. When he says "Fantastic!" and "Run for your life!" and "You don't have to do anything --- just fly" *pushes off a building* I loe that man with a deep and abiding love. He's a damn good actor in EVERYTHING I've seen him in. And I cried when he stopped being the Doctor. Though... I gotta admit; he looks better with hair. My sister showed me some of him on Heroes, he really does look better with hair but he started to grow on me by the time I saw all of his season, he has such pretty blue eyes...

In my head, I've taken to calling Ten "Spaghetti Man" because I wrote a fic in which Donna says he looks like walking, talking spaghetti and the image has kind of stuck. Nine, of course, is Big Ears. Four is the Scarf Man, Manic Grin, or Teeth and Curls. Two is RP, in the sense of Received Pronunciation, because watching him after getting used to a Mancunian accent and Mockney was jarring.

I just refer to them by their numbers, but this is what first springs to mind:
One: The Original Two: The Cosmic Hobo Three: The Dandy Four: The Curly Bohemian, Old Teeth and Curls, The Definitive Article Five: The Cricket Doctor, The Flappy One, The One After Four Six: The Unstable (Classic) One, The Technicolor Dream Coat Seven: The Professor, The Manipulative One Eight: The Movie Doctor, The Time War Doctor, The Pretty Romantic, The Byronic One Nine: The Angry One, The Unstable (New) One, the Post-Traumatic One Ten: The Weasel, The Other Unstable (New) One, Ten-inch

*snort*
I haven't seen half the Doctors there are yet (note: this does not stop me discussing about them), but I nickname everybody and so does my family. It gets convoluted.
Two: "the really ugly short one" (my mom's words, not mine!); "Alan Breck" or "face like a basset puppy" (those are both mine). I find "The Trought" amusing, but I don't actually use it. Three: "the tall white-haired one with the ruffles" or sometimes "the good-looking nice one" (again, my mom's words - though I don't disagree in the least *g*); I occasionally think of him as "Gandalf!Doctor". He would have been awesome. Four: "the one with the Scarf"; "Puddleglum" Five: "Triss" (short for Tristan) or "Fivey"; I like Clocket's "Oncoming Beige" idea too. Nine: "the one with really short hair", "the ugly one from that one trailer"; privately I call him "Chris Eccles" or "Christopher Egg". (It's complicated.) Or just "Niner". Ten: "the skinny ugly one" (again, my mom's words), "the one who wasn't Tristan"; I like "weasel-face" myself, or "skinny gawky freak boy". (Yeah... not a huge Tennant fangirl, me.) Eleven: So far it's just "Matty boy" or "the new one". My family haven't seen him yet.

((Argh. I get invited to this site and it seems sadly dead. Or not dead, just kinda slow. All these great threads and then I realize there's been no response in over a year. Sadness.))
Anyway, I usually just refer to the Docs by actor name or number. I've come to think of most of them by or as their Actor. The actor and the Doctor just go hand in hand for me. Especially with people like Tom and Jon, who are so much like the Doctors they play. But I do have some nicknames I've picked up.
One: Grandfather, the Kidnapper Two: Cosmic Hobo Three: Dandy, James Bond, ActionJon Four: Scarf, The Voice, Buggy-Eyes, ActionTom, Bohemian, The Doctor Five: Cricket Six: Kitten, Technicolor Timecoat, The Rainbow, Skittles Seven: The Scot, Time's Champion Eight: Movie Doc, Time War, Zagreus! The Valeyard: Evil Doc, Thirteen
To be random, I also have nicknames for two specific versions of Ainley!Master. I don't know why. Maybe because Ainley is so awesome he deserves it. And I have some for Delgado.
The Master when he shrunk himself: Pocket!Master Cheetah!Master: Cheetah, Cheet Delgado: Del, Roger Del (I don't know why. = ) )

Stop trying to eat people's brains, Clocket! You asked me the other week if you could eat my brains, I seem to remember, and now this... Although, a lot of people do seem to think we're dead right now. Maybe it's like one of those Hammer House of Horror things and it'll turn out we were all ghosts all along... (Only kidding, reversethepolarity! ;D Not having a go or anything. Welcome again! ;D)

No worries. I saw you guys do the same thing on one of the adverts, so I was prepared for it. = ) I tried to word it with no zombie input by adding 'just kinda slow,' but I think Zombies are slow too, so that didn't help any. But hey, talking zombies is better than no talking. = )
Oh, and you can just call me, Nic. It's a lot shorter. Heh.

What, we're dead AGAIN? This seems to be catching. Or have we stumbled into some sort of badly scripted alternate reality - DbyA: The Ghost Light Version?
I rather like the slow/small aspect of this forum m'self - it means I can keep up with it and not feel like I'm missing things every time Real Life interferes. ;-)
Pocket!Master - lolz....

We may not be alive, but with the talent we have for fic round here, I'd say we're exceptionally well written. I dunno. It's kind of depressing when no one;s been on all day, except for a party in the cbox that took place while you were sleeping. Um, off-topc! Sorry. I don't have nicknames for the Doctors. I call them One, Two, Three, Four... well, you get the idea, don't you? Am I boring?

Stop trying to eat people's brains, Clocket! You asked me the other week if you could eat my brains, I seem to remember Yes, and I thought it was a darned cheek, because I asked if I could eat them first, ages ago! ;D Erm... Can't think why anyone imagines we're dead. At all.

I don't mind being dead... or are we UNdead? In any case, I'm sure even brains taste good doused in chocolate.
