So... I've got a roommate. Why do I always call her that and not give her a name? Because we have the same name, and even in real life, she's just The Roommate. Maybe because of this name problem we've both become very apt at nicknaming everything. I've been introducing her to DW and she can't remember the Doctor's numbers... so, Doctor nicknames. They are: (and this post has an actual point at the end if you keep reading) One: Grampa Two: The one with very strange companions. Three: Ruffles Four: Scarfman Five: The Fainty Albino Six: The Coat Seven: Weasels down his pants man Eight: TvDoc Nine: doesn't have a nickname, she just calls him Eccelston (sp?) Ten: Stick out your tongue and smirk and slobber a bit and that's Ten's nickname. but when she's not making fun she juct calls him Tennant. Okay, the point, as promised. Apparently a lot of people have Doctor nicknames. I've adopted most of my roommates, except I call Five The Oncoming Beige. Does anyone on here have Doctor nicknames? Random non-DW nicknames? A dog named Fred? Whatever? Yeah... and that concludes this post. big sorry if this is already posted somewhere. i know i've put this question up in a few random paces but I don't remember where there are exactly...

Don't think this has been posted here before, but I think I've seen a similar post on LiveJournal.
One: The First Doctor Two: The Cosmic Hobo Doctor Three: The Ruffley Doctor Four: The Scarf Doctor Five: The Cricket Doctor Six: The Mid-Life Crisis Doctor Seven: The Professor (Doctor) Eight: The Unfairly Made by Americans and Suffered for It Doctor Alternatively, The Time War Doctor Nine: The Emo Doctor (though Ten is catching up) Ten: The Current Doctor (he gets a real nickname once he's dead)

*lol* That's still one of the most awkward things I've ever heard... though not quite as bad as the woman asking him to be her uncle SERIOUSLY! What is WRONG with people? ... ... ... though probably I should't judge 'cause I'd probably have asked the weasels question if I'd been there... lulz. I bet he gets asked that all the time. ... ... ... The uncle thing was just weird though

...There could be worse things for people to ask.
I'm not sure, it might be. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of room before I could record that part. D=

My mother can never remember the numbers either. So we have nicknames as well, though I hadn't realised it until I stumbled across this thread
one--> scary grampa doc two--> weird stoogelike doc three--> weird fancy doc four--> *sigh* YOUR doc Mom, the long scarf, floppy hat, all hair and teeth? THAT one mom. *head desk* five--> he is NOT silly, I like him Doc (though she calls him Celery Man or VeggieDoc) six--> Tried to kill the companion ON PURPOSE doc seven--> scary dark sneaky Doc eight--> Lord Byron nine--> the OTHER one you like, on heroes now ten--> current obviously
these may not be nearly so funny you lot as they are to me And Kit you went to Gallifrey 1 I am trying to go this year! I'm soooo uber-jealous now

I've never had really outstanding nicknames, as I can remember the numbers... but here are some ones I dreamed up that never caught on.
one: "grandpa" (a common theme, I see.) "ice"
two: "little man" "trought-face" "hobochaun" (like "leprichaun" but... hobo.)
three: "rufflefluff"
four: "scarfleflarf" "The Voice" "T-Bone"
five: "wittle fivey" (This one caught on, actually.) "celerystick" "blondie" "emodoctor"
six: "turrets"
seven: (With a real name like "McCoy", you don't need a nickname.)
eight: "victorian bliss"
nine: "the thug" "leatherhead"
ten: "exitebike" "twitchy" "twitch"

Rufflefluff? Fancy*Huffs* Some of those made me lol though, especially the Eccleston ones. I'm actually watching him on Heroes right now since my roomie bought the boxset. I love him so much. When he says "Fantastic!" and "Run for your life!" and "You don't have to do anything --- just fly" *pushes off a building* I loe that man with a deep and abiding love. He's a damn good actor in EVERYTHING I've seen him in. And I cried when he stopped being the Doctor. Though... I gotta admit; he looks better with hair.

Actually, McCoy isn't his real name. The name he was born with is Percy James Patrick Kent-Smith.

Actually, McCoy isn't his real name. The name he was born with is Percy James Patrick Kent-Smith. Which I quite suppose is why he changed it. Though, it does amuse me that there's been a Smith among the actors (and a Jon too... but no 'John alas) ... when ever I hear the name Percy Ii think of that little pug dog in the Disney verison of Pocohantas
