Well, you spelled his name with one "G", I thought his name had two.

Duggan is so awesome that I am now consumed with the desire to make the fanvid we discussed. The blasted song will NOT leave my head.

Oh man, I flipped over to Teaspoon, and someone had just posted a new story about what happened on the trip back to Paris. Warning: It is smutty, but funny. I especially like a list of people/things that Duggan has punched out. www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=31948

The list is definitely a highlight. Kind of closed my eyes through the smut, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Probably wouldn't have read it normally, but seeing that at the top of the fic pile last night was highly amusing. The universe is a strange, strange place, indeed.

I ticked "awesome", but only because there wasn't an option of "Unbelievably Awesome!!"
I actually thought that fic was very well-done; the list of things/people he's punched made me chuckle a bit. I continue to have my doubts about the Romana/Duggan thing, if only because she seems to spend so much time snootily patronising the poor guy. Still, there are weirder/less likely ships out there in fanficdom.
Best Duggan moment? Hmmm, either the bit where he resolves the whole Scaroth situation as simply and quickly as you might expect, or the bit where Romana is carefully picking the lock on the cafe door with her sonic...and then he just smashes the window. What a guy!
When the going gets tough, the tough start thumping!

Okay, now the song going through my head for the Duggan fanvid is "When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going." I went from Bobby McFerren to Billy Ocean. I think I like this one better though . . . all the punching scenes will match up better.

I like that, I like a lot...
And it's got to include the exchange with Four about him being in it mainly for the thumping...
And preferably that one where he goes "you know what I don't understand?" and Romana comes back with "I expect so", because it's the defining Duggan comedy gold moment for me...Those two should have been a double act...
Hmmm...I'm veering dangerously into Romana/Duggan territory there, actually...

I ran across the Dugmana thing and bailed out when... do I really want to know what Duggan's like in this kind of situation? Jjpor's Duggan/Benton story on the other hand... that was excellent. I'll get back to Romana and Duggan in mid-grope later I suppose...
On Teaspoon, I'm the opposite of most people I suppose. I scan and scan for anything that doesn't say Tenth Doctor or Torchwood, until my eyes have had it just from the endless scanning....

I know what you mean, Magnus; there's an awful lot of both and I'm not really interested in reading 90% percent of it, purely based on the summaries. Then, I wonder whether I'm prejudging it and some of it might be really good if I gave it a chance...but yes, man does not live by Ten and Torchwood alone - a bit of variety, I always think.
Continuing to resist Duggan/Romana...still feels *wrong*, on some level...

Of *course* it's wrong! Now go write it. :-) Well, I've gone and done it now; it's called "Incident in a Parisian Cafe" and will be up on Teaspoon when the mods get around to it. I hope you can live with yourself. I feel so...dirty...
