This is really off topic. I quit neopets. I never want to go back. NEVER. Neopets is a additction for me. So I am making a rehab. This forum will help me from relapseing. Plus I can use this new time doing homework, looking for a job, watching old who.
First step: Realizing I had an addiction. I was spending more time on here when I should have been doing homework. It just hit me. I needed help. Secound step: I deleted my account. I was going to cut time off neopets but that has failed before. So I gave away my items and deleted my account. It was hard, I mean my Kau was so sad. I did it though. Third Step: Deleteing all links in my favourite list that was neopets related. I still need to delete my avatarlog account. Which I am about to now. That will be the hardest of them all. I will miss my avatars that I worked so hard on. Step Four:
I first addded all the avatars I wanted but never got. I pretanded I had them for 5 secounds. Then I deleted the account.
Haha. Wish me luck with me going sober!

Good for you! I quit Neopets after TNT deleted my account for saying WTF. In a neomail. Once. Seriously. I used to even want to work for them. Now I'm just 'Pft, screw you.' I didn't even know what they froze me for at first, and when I emailed them they didn't give me a straight answer.

I don't like TNT. I got a warning for saying damn. Yeah there are just too many rules on that site.

I really really have to do that. I commend you Newton and Kit. The site has been bothering me ever since it's new format, and the whole premium membership thing, and ad everywhere... you have to watch ads to play games now WTF?
And I keep getting warnings for using apostrophes. huh? What's up with that?
My problem is that I really do like some of the people on the guild (though, more and more they're annoying me), and I'm in love with my techo, because it's a super spiffy colour that you can't get any more, and I love him. Also, I've had the account for close to six years.
It really is an addiction though. There are so many better things I could be doing with my time. Maybe... this October will be a neopets free month. Yes. And you can make sure I don't go back.

Yeah TNT went downhill when they re did the site. The pets are super ugly, the layout is gross. I also hate how they really push us into buying random products. Buy our new line of toys to be able to play our games! Don't get me started on Premium. Maybe I should change the title to "Neopets Rehab" xD

If you don't know then you don't want to. Take my advice and stay away. Stay far. far. away.

Right then, I'll start tomorrow (because I have the spare time). Plan. 1. Take screen shots of my pretty pets and post them to my lj. They're just pixels anyway. That way I can admire them later on. 2. Announce I'm leaving to the guild. That will be hard, because I really like some of the people on there. 3. Give away everything. 4. Delete account. After nearly six years this is going to be HARD, but you're right; there's no point to it, and there's better stuff I could b doing with my time.

After nearly six years this is going to be HARD, but you're right; there's no point to it, and there's better stuff I could b doing with my time. Like watching Doctor Who? I spend so much time on neopets I wouldn't finnish Doctor Who stories. I swear. I would watch part one than go "OH! I should go play games!" than totally forget about Who. :/

Well... neopets would never draw me away from Who. Actually, I started playing it again because of the Who guild O.o watch out though, Old Who can be just as addicting. I nearly got myself into serious trouble first year 'cause I couldn't stop watching episodes when I should have been doing essays. Though.... I was of the mindset that "if I don't watch them before they disappear off youtube I'll never see them!" and I might have been right about that

Is the guild you're talking about still the Who guild, Clocket? If so, you can neomail the people you like and suggest this forum, like I did with you. xD

Guys! Day one of no neopets went well for the most part. I did go on once to see if Clocket had deleted her account but the sites doesn't really work well on my computer now that I did blocking. Lets see if I can go one whole day without looking at the webpage!
Sad thing is I had neopet dream last night. :/

The people in the neopets guild were very upset with my plan, much crying and begging to stay followed.
I've told them that I'll stay until the end of the month on a trial basis. If i can go cold turkey on the other aspects of the site, I might just keep my account open for guild purposes.
If not... well... in the immortal words of the NuWho Cybermen DELETE! DELETE!
Good luck to you Newton! You can do it!

You and your clever clever reverse psychology, Newton! It worked! I'll now go and inform regular old pets that they've been superceded. Fortunately I don't know how or why, but I feel they have a right to know.

Oh my Clocket. You are weakening. Weakening. I am not thinking about neopets anymore. Only when I read these posts. Haven't clicked on the webpage today.
If I get all my homework done before 9:00pm, I think I may just watch more Who. Watch the third part of Daemons. Hope it hasn't been deleted. :/

I must say, this Neopets, which I have somehow managed to avoid up to now, sounds like a particularly virulent scourge - a wrecker of homes, lives and minds. Stay strong, Clocket; remember, the first step to getting well is admitting you have a problem!
You may have ensnared Magnus with your subtle psychological manipulation, Newton, but you won't get me! ;D
Must...resist...
