So if you could pick which actors and actresses were cast as characters in Dr. Who, who would you select? (We're talking Television here, btw.) ----------------------------- For the role of the Doctor, I'd like to see Richard E. Grant... I mean I'd REALLY like to see Richard E. Grant. For this reason alone. (see 13:07) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do-wDPoC6GM But anyone in that skit would be interesting. (I had Rowan and Richard picked out before I saw this, which delighted me.) Companions: Jena Malone would be interesting. (Donny Darko Fans?!) I'd give her a shot. Just for the hell of it. Also, I'd like to nominate Jjpor to be the Brig. Or something similar. He just strikes me as that sort of a guy. The nice gentlemanly authoritative figure that makes us all wash our hands before eating... and I always envision him sipping tea beside a fireplace.

Okay, first of all, Aldy... Aldy, my boy... WHERE did you find that skit? Because honestly... most doctor who parodies I've seen over the years have bordered on the line of pure mediocrity... but this one was really good. It actually made me laugh, and I'd like to see REG as the doctor now just because of it. And that bumbling old man after him too. And who was the master?
REG: "You're the camp one, yes?" Master: "I'm not camp." REG: "Right.... nice tits." Master: "Bumps."
Okay, enough of that. *snicker*
My doctor.... I've always wanted to see one of the Pythons do it. Terry Jones or Michael Palin in particular. (Will I get kicked for suggesting this?) I think it could be done. It works the other way around, after all. Peter Davison did play King Arthur in one of the premiering "Spamalot" casts. That... and I'm really not familiar with enough British actors to legitimately suggest anything. *slouches*
Companions. Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith. Nuff said. Oh! Mary-Louise Parker would be fun. She's a little tall, but the woman can act.
I've always seen jjpor being a fireside narrator-type as well. Hmmm... I wonder what his voice is like. Maybe he's the voice in my head after all.

It's called Curse of the Fatal Death Spats. it's written by Moffat and is pure awesome. Have you seen the whole thing yet? On the basis of it, and Scream of the Shalka, I too want REG to be the Doctor. For serious, he's got more experience in the role than some of the cannon Doctors do, and he's so delightfully sarcastic...

"Curse of the Fatal Death" is such a BRILLIANT title. So uniquely Whovian. REG is such a BRILLIANT actor. So uniquely REG.
Did he ever even audition for the role?
