14. If you suddenly start using words like 'lift' and 'loo' and 'snog' and you aren't from the UK...
15. If you suddenly develop a very random interest in knitting...

I think 14 may just be a sign that you're an Anglophile. I have read a number of fics that focus on knitting. Is there a classic story that revolves around knitting or something?

I think 14 may just be a sign that you're an Anglophile. I was totally shocked when my room mate out of the blue turned a question on me with the words "You should know this since you're an Anglophile" Gawk. Much as I love Who, and by extension the UK, I'd been trying to avoid that since my dad is a scary Anglophile who collects Royal Family books and stuff. Maybe it's genetic and inevitable?!?? I have read a number of fics that focus on knitting. Is there a classic story that revolves around knitting or something? It's the scarf. The massive, wonderful scarf.

I know what you mean Clocket. I have an older sister who is a major Anglophile, so I try to fight it myself.
I should have realized the knitting thing was about the scarf!

I guess I am a Anglophile in some way. I use British words ... can I aruge that my brother in law is British so I hear him say those words alot and some Dutch people (mostly men) tend to use british words when speaking English? No? Ok, then I'm an Anglophile, happy?

I started using those words after reading Harry Potter. That was way before I got into DW.
