Due to our DW Live conversation about The Doctor getting an TV addiction while stuck in the 1960s, I begun to think. What would be The Doctor watch?
I am thinking endless amount of soap operas and game shows. The Price is Right for sure he would be watching. Hahaha.

I could see him watching Price is Right. In fact, I could see him trying to get on to the show too.

I bet he watched laugh-in as well, that one he could brush off as social commentary

Or documentaries about history and that, and going "what a load of rubbish - it didn't happen like that at all! I should know; I was there!" I really like the idea of him and Martha staying with Ian and Barbara while they're stuck in the past...and Ian having a man-to-man chat with him about why he needs to get a job and stop letting Martha support him...

I could see him watching Price is Right. In fact, I could see him trying to get on to the show too. Hahaha, I can too. Oh man, I want the DW crew to do a five minute special where he some how gets on the show and he can win a car. He would be jumping up and down in joy. I can see it so clearly. Oh Ten, you make me laugh.

Speaking of The Doctor and the Price is Right.
today I was happily watching The Price is Right. This one boy had a guess the price of all these small prizes before he could try to win the grand prize. One of the mini prizes was a USB Hub. I looked up and it was the Tardis. I started to laugh knowing that they did not know what it was. They presented the Tardis as simply a USB Hub, no mention of DW.
Drew then asks the guy what he thought the price was of a phone box USB Hub. xD I was like "close enough."

*giggle* I can just see Drew Carry presenting the TARDIS with no clue as to what it is. Also, I think I want one: because how cool would that be?

I thought Drew would be someone who would know what DW is.
The other day one of the prizes was a trip to Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Drew talked about how he did some shows for Just for Laughs and how awesome the festival was.
I was like "Go drew! He knows what just for laughs is and will happily talk about to Americans who don't know what it is!"

I thought Drew would be someone who would know what DW is. In defense of Drew, he grew up watching the same PBS station that I did. All PBS stations in the US determine their own programming, so although some regions showed Doctor Who regularly, some rarely had it. Ours was one that rarely had it. Otherwise, Northeast Ohio rocks! As for the Tardis USB hub, I have seen that and coveted it just a little, but always felt a little too silly to buy it considering my age. (Plus I don't really need a USB hub.) I think I saw it for sale on Amazon. Oh, and in terms of what else the Doctor would have watched in 1969 . . . can anyone else see him watching Bewitched, and fantasizing that Elizabeth Montgomery was Rose?
