Well.... I'm a member of the "Give Matt Smith a Chance" foundation, so... I'm going to wait it out and see if David Morrisey would have in fact been a better option.
Personally, I thought he was mirroring Tennant's style. Just slightly older and not as jittery. (This may have been the intention.) I mean, perhaps if he was granted to "doctorship" himself, he would have produced something different and unique to the actor... in fact I'm sure of it, but his character came off to me as a little fanboy trying to be the doctor.
And on that note... was anyone else reminded of "incredaboy"?

You don't understand regeneration, Mel. It's a lottery, and I've drawn the short plank.

lol. Incredaboy. *snicker* I wasn't at all, actually. I rather liked David Morrisey, and true he mirrored SOME of Tennant's qualities, but I really don't think he came off as "fanboyish".

Oh, I am all for giving Matt Smith a chance, I've argued loudly just in that vein since his announcement (two of myfavourite Doctors were both once the youngest man at the helm of the TARDIS), the DM as 11 is really more of a joke than anything else, bit like CP's DonnaisROmana, only mine harmed no characters and at this point is much further-fetched. Still, I cling to it *shrugs*
