I'm not usually one for drawing fanart... well, aside from that picture of Three and those random Legolass portraits I did and lost years ago... anyway, last night I was bored and felt the random urge to doodle, so, um, yeah. I didn't have any references while drawing so it turned into a kind of memory cartoon-y thing. And then tonight I felt the random urge to scan the things and try to colour them. Anyway, 'nough said: The random sketch My first (really bad) attempt at colouring it My second attempt, which, thanks to some kind of glitch (no honest, the paint program did something WEIRD) makes me look far more talented than I actually am. Heh. I like how this turned out.

I like how the more you played with it via the computer, the more it seemed to turn into something vaguely German Expressionist, maybe. I like that sort of thing.
Technology can do interesting things to drawings. I used to do odd collages which sometimes included images that I had shrunk down over and over on a photocopier, until they were so small that they were hard to see, and then enlarged over and over. You get very unexpected distortions this way. One surprise was that you can go through the exact same process with the exact same image more than once, and get different distortions each time.

That's great; I like the colour scheme in the second version. I wish I could get glitches like that to happen. Magnus is right; it does remind me of something particular that I've seen in the past, but I can't quite think what... And Nine's grin is, for me, the best part of the whole thing.

I love this! That final colourization makes it look better than some of the art I've seen in the old Who comic scans that have gone by. :-D Kind of looks like a scene where Ten is about to stuff the sonic screwdriver up Nine's nose after being the recipient of some kind of self-inflicted practical joke.
