Last week on the Narnia forum I made a series of banners for myself with "Totally Random Doctor Who Characters" or so they would seem to Doctor Who fans who haven't seen that much of the old Doctors. Now that I have that done (and since I'm working on a series with a banner and avatar with each Doctor) I decided to post some of my Doctor Who banners on here Turlough (He's really growing on me as I watch more Fifth Doctor episodes, I don't know why...) Harry (I love Harry, that's all there is to it) Jenny (I still love that episode too ) Nyssa (#5's most useful companion in my opinion. I had fun with this banner) Jamie and Victoria (okay, I haven't technically seen any episodes with them but I want to) Zoe (Same as Jamie and Victoria, Zoe sounds really cool)

Turlough! He is such love isn't he? The combination of hamminess, actual character development, hair dye, snark, and "now let's not lie; you really aren't 16 no matter how much you pretend to be" all adds up to WIN in my books.

I hated him the first time I saw him, it was some episode with him and the Doctor and Tegan and he's trying to get Tegan to leave the Doctor because he thinks he drowned. I didn't realize then how much fun it is to make fun of him ;D

Haha, I own that episode. I don't know why.... oh wait, because it came as a part of a boxset with two Three eppies I wanted. IT'S AWFUL! The commentary on it is hysterical though. PD: "I'm not dead, Turlough is trying to kill me again" Janet Field: "Yes, the writers always had to find ways to lock him up so he wouldn't kill you... oh look, bubble wrap!"
;D

Yeah, Davison and Janet Fielding give good DVD commentary; I think they're hilarious on the Earthshock DVD as well. It's supposed to be this big tragic story, but they're too busy laughing about Beryl Reid's hairdo!
Turlough's a great character, actually, and there is something beyond that in the things Clocket identifies that makes him enormously likeable even though he shouldn't be. Something about a thirty-year-old "schoolboy" with dyed hair and this cowardly, self-serving, sarcastic persona...and yet, he manages to come good in the end. Sort of. And in the meantime, he's just entertaining. I think that's the thing about a lot of 80s Who; there really isn't anything to dislike in the actors, it's the scripts that are the problem. And I think that's also very largely true of NuWho as well.
I also like your banners of Victoria/Jamie and Zoe; they're all great too.

There's just something about Turlough's rotten selfishness that makes him so loveable. I'm not even sure how he does it. Listening to a description of him, I'd probably hate him, and yet he somehow manages to be awesome.

The bubble wrap and the word "excellent" pronounced as "eggsellent" appear quite often Thanks for the compliments, my one friend on the Narnia forum really loves the Victoria/Jamie and Zoe ones because she loves black and white

Here are the first six banners in my Doctor series. I haven't uploaded 7-9 and I still have to make 10. All of the banners follow the same basic pattern; the doctor in the TARDIS (except for 3) and two other pictures. The font changes according to the Doctor. Also somewhere in each picture is the number corresponding to each doctor. Doctor 1 Doctor 2 Doctor 3 Doctor 4 Doctor 5 Doctor 6

I just love all of these! The Jamie and Victoria one is a favorite, and I really enjoy seeing the types of fonts you chose for the various Doctors. Well done - and ooo....photoshop.... I have SO got to learn that someday...

Thanks, I had fun with the fonts Photoshop was really confusing for me, I had to have someone explain directly to me how to do blending and textures because I couldn't figure it out by myself
