My six year old was looking at my siggie and described each of the four doctors there within. (four) "that doctor is crazy" (ten) "that doctor is serious" (five) "umm that one is dressed, that one has a hat" (seven) "That Doctor is brown"
I found her description of four worthy enough on its own. I will show her all eleven of them in a moment, being certain to white out her comments on eleven.

(four) "that doctor is crazy" Yes, yes he is. I continue to be impressed by your kids' Who-sense; obviously, you're bringing them up right.

lol, I try. In a world full of the Jonas Brothers and iCarly, tis easier said than done. the fifth Doctor was her favourite until she turned six (as he and she were the same 'age') though she denies the Sixth this same favour.
Just by the way she thinks Five without his hat looks like Lazarus (the younger version) from Lazarus Experiment

See, that's because nobody likes Six... ;D (Just kidding; I kid, okay; I know some people like Six. Don't shout at me, please...)

hahahaha JJ, anything you say about Six just zooms me back to your "Ten Doctors" story and the angrysixfan! and now the whole part and parcel (well 1 - 10 eleven seemed like cheating since he hasn't a self as of yet) and from this ( z.hubpages.com/u/321215_f520.jpg) picture she has gleamed the following: 1 "has long white hair like a boyish/girlish and also he is mean" my, my, Jack Harkness would be tickled pink! 2 is a music man 3 is looking sad 4 "is still crazy, Mama, he's always crazy" 5 is confused "he's looking at something like 'what the'" 6 "wears a blue tie and is very happy with this tie. See he has a smile" 7 has a sunhat and "is really thinking" 8"I don't know, Mama, he looks like he is supposed to be happy, only he really, really isn't." 9 "he's maybe angry, or lost, or sad" 10 "THE Doctor is happy, he is not silly, Mama, get yourself serious"

She sounds awesome. Her descriptions are priceless and quite accurate. Just by the way she thinks Five without his hat looks like Lazarus (the younger version) from Lazarus Experiment I agree. I thought the same thing when I saw the episode (except the other way around, that Lazarus looked like Five) and if I remember correctly, David Tennant and Mark Gatiss joke about it on the commentary.

Your daughter sounds awesome cool. I especially liked (for lol-value): 4 "is still crazy, Mama, he's always crazy" and 6 "wears a blue tie and is very happy with this tie. See he has a smile" The description of Eight is very perceptive. I might use some of these in fic one day (with yur daughter's permission of course)

I found her Eight description a bit eerie myself, especially as everytime I look at Eight, the TVM EIght and JJ's eight sort of waltz in my head, lol. She's fun, my Nyah, and quite a whovian, though my son was the one who started watching with me. He's three and a half, though, and HATES when The Doctor (ten) let's people (read any other Doctor) use his spacebox. I included the picture, because I thought she would say Three was mean, or grumpy, it really surprised me she read that expression as sad. So right away I told her about Jo (as a possible reason for his sadness) she suggested he go find Donna and get ice cream.

I like the descriptions of Four, Seven and Eight the best - as Clocket says, the Eight one is spookily close to the mark, isn't it? You can see that sort of sadness in McGann even when he's acting all excited. And clearly, she must be familiar with Baker, T, and his oeuvre. ;D If I had a spacebox, I wouldn't want to lend it out either, so I can see where he's coming from there.

Six's description made me laugh out loud. Of course he's happy with his clothing; you'd have to be to allow yourself to be seen in public with it.

You have exceedingly perceptive progeny here. And yes... Donna and ice cream as a cure for the no-Jo blues? Lol....!

Well, Donna is her favorite companion, as yet . My other daughter ( who is five) likes MarthaJones (yes all one word) best, but Nyah insists Donna is more like a mommy and everybody needs a mommy, especially the Doctor so he isn't so serious all the time. Also, icecream can solve just about anything as far as Nyah is concerned. My brother-in-law ships out (he is in the US air force) the end of this month and so I recently had to explain (briefly) war. She thinks Barrack Obama and the President of Iraq need to share a really big bowl of ice cream so they can learn to get along.
I am very careful about which episodes the kids see as far as the revival series goes, since the violence is a bit more graphic. Nyah is a retiring bookish young lady who is actually (honest to pete!) afraid of butterflies, but her little sister is a tough-as-a-tank rough and tumble little thing who can only watch "thatAdiposeone" so many times, so on occasion I'll throw in a slightly scarier episode. We tend to watch a Doctor Who before bed so long as they have been good the preceding day.

I think you should attempt to bring back all love of Five, Five is awesome

I agree with most of them and particularly like her take on 4 and 6-10. Her comment on 8 is very intutive, and it puts plot bunnies in my head. Thanks, Merry, and thank your daughter for me! ;D

I shall thank her indeed, and would also be very interested in reading whatever those aforementioned plot bunnies breed into!
