Nyssa didn't quite know what to think about this future doctor's companion who was now scaling the wall. She had to admit that she did a very good job of trying to be helpful.

"Let out the Master? Oh, he's well enough. There's air in there and that's really more than he deserves anyway. Oh, good throw!" Three encouraged as he and Nine helped hold it steady and they all began reeling it in. They'd hoped for a jeep or a railing or something but so far the rope was still coming back, though at least it was dragging a weight. "Maybe we have something," he nodded to Five who was getting ready to climb up the wall after Ace as soon as the rope was secure.
"It's a bit like fishing, isn't it?" Benton commented from where he had a bit of the rope in his good hand. "Though this is one heavy fish. I wonder what it's caught on?"

"I suppose you want to know what my fiendishly clever and complex plan is?" the Master sneered at Six and Peri, taking off his UNIT uniform jacket to reveal the black velvet outfit beneath. "It would give me the greatest of pleasure to tell you, Doctor, so that I can see the look of despair on your face when you die..." Six did not even have time to utter some witty comeback before the Master heard the sound of army boots approaching down the passageway: "What? That fool of a soldier? Curses!" Even as Mike drew his gun, the Master turned and fired...
*
"Right," said Seven, attaching the final crocodile clip to the meteorite and ignoring Two's apprehensive glances. "That should do it..." He threw the switch...
...and the universe screamed.

**at the quarry** The Master grimaced waiting to feel the flames that surrounded him, squeezing his eyes shut tight against the coming flames he winced and felt...cool metal floor. No, that wasn't right at all. Opening his eyes he cackled with glee. Let the Doctor have his sanctimonious forgiveness! For now, he, The Master, had his very own TARDIS back in his possession. He jumped to his feet, still laughing merrily at his good fortune and immediately raced to the controls, not pausing to wonder how he had his TARDIS or why he wasn't dead or even who those ghastly red estate-nails had belonged to. He had a TARDIS, except, she refused to move, or even, to register that he was, in fact, now pounding on the instrument panel, in full tantrum mode.
"Absolutely not! This will not do, never do. I am the Master, you will obey me!" he called in strident petulant tones to no avail.
Some time later, he wasn't truly sure how much had passed, he had been much too involved in his anger, and then the drums, to really be certain, the Master stood and dusted himself off. Once certain he was flawless he stepped outside the doors of his ship and into a quarry?
"Oh, really, this is too much unlike my dear enemies former selves I've no fondness for these sorts of places, oh. OH! My word, what a wonder." He fell silent pondering the plethora of telltale TARDISes that stood before him.
"Hullo, Hullo? Doctor?" he called into the still air, deciding to forgo the usual element of surprise for a more appropriate entrance
**also in the quarry**
Tegan Jovanka had been very nearly late for work again. She rushed up the walk to the doors of Heathrow, threw them open and found herself in a very familiar console room.
"Doctor, you really are going to cost me my job this time. What the hell d'you think you're doing just-just-abducting like some great bloody alien" the last word died on her lips as she realised two important things she had overlooked in her anger. The first being that Doctor seemed not to be aboard, or, at the very least, if he was aboard he was unaware she was aboard also, the second being she had just been abducted by some great bloody alien.
She strode the doors, more purposefully than she had since, perhaps, that time on The Eye of Orion. As she blinked against the bright light reflecting of the quarry. She found it a bit eerie she had been thinking about that time on The Eye as she saw more than one all too familiar police box.
"Oooh, perfect, another quarry." Slipping out of her uncomfortable work heels, Tegan began walking toward the first TARDIS, wondering which Doctor was inside, and rather hoping her Doctor was with whichever one she happened to find.
**in the prison**
Six bristled as his one time friend drew and fired on the near witless Yates.
"I say, old chap, though it is no more than he deserves, imagine! The sheer audacity locking me up under the utterly false suspicion that I[/b], of all the me's there are, were not, indeed, myself."
Six shuddered with horror, and rolled his eyes to see Peri crouched int he corner of her cell with her hands over her ears. What had he seen in her in his previous version? Returning his attention to the Master he spoke.
"Still, that rather lacks class, even for you, Master, was that your grand plan? Sneak about in rubber masks and take pot shots at random UNIT men? Well, Yates, not precisely random, still, I must admit, it doesn't have that certain panache I've come to loathe so well." He spared his companion an exasperated glance. "And Peri, do get up, you're being silly, it wasn't as if you were the one shot at, nor otherwise impugned this odious day."

The Master was too busy looking for cover in the rather coverless corridor to reply; how he wished he had the old TCE - curse these cheap Sontaran rayguns! So inaccurate! And they took too long to recharge between shots; now that puny-minded imbecile of a soldier was preparing to return fire...
*
The Brigadier was about to get back to his office, crisis momentarily resolved, when he saw the big chap with the long scarf suddenly get hauled off his feet, halfway up the outer wall, apparently hooked onto the end of a rope. Was this the start of the insect attack?
"You men!" he shouted at some nearby soldiers. "Get that chap down from there and see what the blazes is going on on the other side of that wall!"
"Yes sir!"
And then everybody heard the gunshots from inside the building...

Martha jumped back away as Four was hauled up she and Sarah Jane both made an effort to reach him but they were neither of them tall enough. ooc: sorry for not posting that much, I've been really busy. I'm a little confused, what's going on with the ropes and the jeep? I'd wait patiently and see but Five is suppose to have something to do with it

ooc: Thanks, Primsong PMed me to tell me too ic: Five considered the rope that Three, Nine and Benton were hauling on. He thought it seemed to be reeling in even more, maybe what they had hooked wasn't quite as solid as they thought. But then it might just be a lower tree branch.

ooc|| I felt that I really should appologise for holding up the roleplay, but I have really bad writers block and haven't been able to even do drabbles lately. I'll get the reply in as soon as I am able.
