You may have a point there. The Hath were, for me, the best thing about the episode. Oh, and Nigel Terry out of Excalibur with his comedy Cornish accent, although I class that more as a guilty pleasure (a bit like Excalibur itself, Battlefield with a budget - "A king without a sword, a land without a king!" - "A dream to some, a nightmare to others!"...er, I'll get me coat...)

I have to disagree with you there, that was one of my favorite episodes from that season. I made a video with the Doctor and his Daughter which was a lot of fun

We shall agree to disagree, then. My favourite episode of the last season was Midnight, just because it was so unusual and so well-acted. What did you think of the Pompeii episode? A lot of people list that as one of their favourites, but I really didn't see the appeal myself.

Midnight and the two in the library were cool and scary my sister still doesn't want to watch Midnight again I thought it was an average Historical episode, I liked the Unicorn and the Wasp more than that one. I prefer the things like Midnight but it's always nice to have some Historical episodes. I still have to say that The Doctor's Daughter was possibly my favorite one

I think it would have been better if they'd just had a story about the destruction of Pompeii, with the Doctor and Donna caught in the middle of it all - I don't think they needed the aliens really. I liked the Unicorn and the Wasp, actually - it was full of funny little moments like when the Doctor got poisoned and the bit where all of the suspects were thinking about what they'd really been up to when the murder happened ;D. Another thing I liked about the Doctor's Daughter was the basic idea of the plot: *the idea of this years-long war that had really only been going on for about a week*, and I liked Georgia Moffett as Jenny, even if I didn't really like the _idea_ of Jenny, if that makes sense...

I think I've got the same feelings as JJpor; I really liked the cleverness of the Doctor's Daughter plot (and that Donna was the one to figure it out!) even if I didn't like the actual episode. Unicorn and the Wasp was one of my favourites from that season. It just made me think of Black Orchid for some reason, and it was also very funny.

I admit I haven't seen a lot of NuWho, but I very much enjoyed the Unicorn and Wasp, it reminded me more of Classic than anything else I'd encountered and was quite enjoyable.

He was one of the footmen extras in the beginning, wasn't he?
I liked both the Unicorn and the Wasp and The Fires of Pompeii. I'm usually not that easy to please, either.

I don't know, not being much of a History Buff I'm not sure if I would have liked it as much if it was just the destruction of Pompeii, maybe there would have been more character Development and that would be fine. I suppose I do see your point
I love that part in the kitchen, that is very much what I love about the Doctor and Donna traveling together.
I have been noticing quite a lot of Three fans around here, would it shock you then to know that the only time I have seen him is in the Five Doctors? Are there any specific Three episodes that I should be asking my sister to get from the library?

I love that part in the kitchen, that is very much what I love about the Doctor and Donna traveling together. That bit's great - worth the price of admission alone, as they say! ;D And the bit with Colonel Hugh daydreaming... I don't know if you've seen Talons of Weng-Chiang, with Four in it, but the actor who plays Colonel Hugh is in that, and he's fantastic in it. There are bigger Three fans than me about (Clocket? Primsong?), but you could do worse than to start with Spearhead from Space, the very first Three story. My favourite Three stories are probably Inferno and The Silurians, also from Three's first season. To get the full Three flavour though you need to see some of the later ones too, with the Master and the "UNIT family" - I don't think you can go wrong with The Sea Devils and The Daemons - they're the first two Three stories I ever saw, back in the day, and they're great. And the Five Doctors may not be the best Who story ever, but it is all sorts of fun - love the Raston Warrior Robot!

JJpor's right; there's no way you can ever go wrong with the Sea Devils (Simm!Master steals all of the best lines out of this one for his appearance, but he doesn't get a sword fight). In fact, anything with Delgado!Master is good just for the sake of having Delgado; even if the stories are sometimes made of cheese the interaction with him and Three is PRICELESS. I especially recommend The Time Monster if only for the "Daisiest Daisy" speech and JamesBond-Benton (and also neekid Benton... you though Neekid Jack was good? LOL)
Three's first episode (Spearhead) is pretty amazing. I love that Three's first word is shoes. And then the Brig steals his key; it's wonderful. Inferno is also win with extra win, and there is a reason people rave about it (though, my personal favourite bit is Three doing random Opera singing at the start, though he does that it other episodes).
Doctor Who and the Silurians isn't one of my favourites. Which is odd, because it's one of the few episodes I own. I watch it for the Brig more than anything. I find it drags a bit.
Last season Three is... different, and a bit of a shadow of what it was (even though Sarah-Jane is about which almost makes it all better). Invasion of the Dinosaurs though is probably one of my all time favourite Who episodes.

Well I know I'll be seeing at least one of those, my sister was talking about how good Inferno is and she wants me to see it. I might use that link you sent me clocket (thank you ) to catch up on ones my sister won't be getting or something.

It seems as if the last Pertwee season moves backward and forward at the same time. Great opening title sequence, Time Warrior is an innovative, breakthrough classic, establishing the Robert Holmes era of mixing history with aliens one season early... I've always liked Inv O'Dinos far more than everyone except Clocket possibly, and Spiders is great. I even prefer this Peladon story to the other, I think. Just the fact that there is a Peladon story though is an alarming step backwards, for a program that seemed to be trying to shore up its SF foundations. Death to the Daleks makes the whole idea of Daleks seem tired and impossible to continue with. Of course, creative people can reinvigorate any idea, as they showed the next year.

amazingly a lot of people on the Narnia board are from my state. We need to have the next convention somewhere besides the other side of the country, literally.
