There are a lot of buttons above me while I'm typing this post. I'm resisting the impulse to press all of them or else this will probably come out in funny colors or something.
Anyway, hello! I was referred here by Clocketpatch, so you can blame her. I like most of the Doctors and most of the companions. Nine/Four (no, that's not a shippy thing, I just can't make up my mind) and Romana in particular. Umm. I can appreciate the dark gothic moodiness of the Hinchcliffe era while loving Season 17 without any shame. I've seen all the episodes of the entire series except for two serials - which I'm working on. I've started writing lots of fanfiction but overwhelmingly failed to finish them. I have a Dalek t-shirt and a sonic screwdriver.
But that's enough about me. Tell me about yourself.

I am Newton, I love traveling, I have no favourite doctor. Do you know clocket in real life or online?

Many, many welcomes - We love our Clocketpatch, so any friend of a Clocket is a Patch of ours. So nice to have more people arriving, we must make some tea and be hospitable.
Sounds like you are well versed, well clothed and well equipped! I'm relatively new here, an old-school fan who tolerates the new while finding something nice in all of the Doctors (even Six though I have to work at it) my own tendency is towards One, Two and Three and Seven with smatterings of Four and Five. If I have to pick one...well, there he is in my icon!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on all things Who.

Hello! I'm Starflower. Clocket reffered me here as well. =) I started the fandom by watching NuWho but soon I came across Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee which converted me to a Classic Whovian. I'm Prim's daughther and Evelyn's sister. =) I write a bit of fanfic myself, mostly drablles.

*shuffles in looking guiltily*
;D
Glad to see you came over. What are the two serial you're working on out of curiosity? I've got a few Hartnell's and one of Three's still to see (shocking, I know. lol) Oh, and all those little bitty episode fragments and reconstructions but those I'll probably just end up reading the scripts for one day...
I like scripts... there was this time when I had no TV or high speed for several years and I 'watched' movies and whole seasons of certain shows through online scripts.
Anyway, to answer your question Newton I don't know IMforeman in real life, only from the-site-that-shall-not-be-named. lol. I've been playing my pied-piper pipe again.
Anyway, my favourite Doctors are Three, Nine, and Seven - but I have favourite episodes in all eras (yes, even Six's.) and though I heap criticism on poor Ten (because he killed Nine the blighter!) I do love him dearly and will probably be all sniffling when he goes for good.
Anyway (which one of my most favourite words: right after gallimaufry, pastiche, and pluvial) I hope you enjoy your time at the good ol' DbyA.

Hullo and welcome aboard (no pun intended)! I'm Merry and came here through Clocket as well, though in a round about manner. I somehow found Teaspoon (I honestly have no idea how I stumbled across it) and through Clocket's page, found Dba. I'm dead glad I did. I'm a wee-ish bit indecisive thereby I find myself liking Two, Four, Five, Seven, Ten and Six by default; however, JJ's eighth Doctor is my all-time fave ! Companion's to which I am addicted follow in no particular order, Romana 1, Teagan, Donna Noble (who isn't Romana no matter how much I want Romana back too), Dodo, K-9, and Ace. This really is a great site and we've loads of extremely talented writers aboard as well. I've never felt as welcome anywhere on the net and I'm certain you'll feel the same. Welcome again, looking forward to posting with you.

Someone likes Dodo! I've never known anyone who liked Dodo. I don't really like her much, actually, but I'm cheered by the fact that someone does.
I really like this place so far. I know no Doctor Who fans in real life despite all my attempts to convert people (Delete! Delete!). Thank Rassilon for the internet.
The two ones I'm working on are Paradise Towers, quite randomly, and Survival, because I'm saving that for last.

Paradise Towers is one of my favourite episodes. I think Pex would have made an awesome companion. *nods*
Survival is also excellent.

Yes, lol, you know, I get that reaction when I mention liking her. She's fun, for one thing and her non-ending was terribly unfair so yes, it's a bit like liking Six by default, I suppose. While I cannot promote a platform built around "Watch and love DW or be Deleted" neither can I argue the nearly divine sort of poetic justice, oh wait, no that's disturbing not just, I MUST stop confusing those words. XD
spoilery bits for the eleventh Doctor and The Next Doctor epi follow (In white of course, breathe) **shifty eyes* Eleven IS[/i] David Morrisey and Matt Smith is a red herring![/color]*
*cough*DonnarockscausesheisDONNAnotbecausesheisaTimelordHUMANSCANBECOOLCLOCKET!*cough* i'm kidding Clocket I don't really think you are a xenosupremicist. Are you? kidding!

Hello there I'm pretty new here myself. I don't have a favourite Doctor; on the other hand I don't have a least favourite one either. I personally think it would have been interesting to see what series one of Nuwho would have been like had Paul Mcgann carried on as the Eighth Doctor, though that's no means casting aspersions on Christopher Eccleston's stint. Talking about Paul McGann, have you ever heard any of his audio adventures? I know they're not canon, but they give an insight of what it might be like if he'd continued officially.

Ahah - another of Clocket's ever-growing cadre of disciples - I'll admit to being one myself; she may well be DbA's greatest single recruiter/evangelist. ;D
I'm JJPOR, as you can see; Seven is "my" Doctor, as it were, and he and Ace my definitive Doctor/companion pairing (but not in that disturbing, shippy, sort of way, you understand, because that would just be, well...icky. And wrong.). I do, however, completely second your Four and Romana love, too; I am currently going through some sort of second childhood where I can thrill and/or chuckle at even the dodgiest of oldschool Who moments, but I completely agree that all of the different aspects of Four, from the gothic horror of Holmes/Hinchcliffe to the broader comedy of Season 17 both stand on their own, somewhat different, merits. And I kind of have a thing for Season 18 too, I'll confess. Other Doctors come in no particular order, but Two probably leads the pack, just because I consider Troughton to be some sort of genius; I find myself alternatively softening on, and hardening against the new series depending on which was the most recent episode I saw, but overall I do like it a lot (more than RTD deserves, sometimes!). It's a toss-up as to whether Nine or Ten is my favourite, and I waver on that too; Eccleston was pretty good indeed, but I rate Tennant highly; and Donna was about thirty times better than I was expecting her to be. As hard as I try to be cool, I find myself leaning more and more towards Clocket's DonnaisRomana position, but I think Merry makes a good point as well... Fencesitting is my natural occupation, as uncomfortable as fences can be.
Anyway, enough about me; welcome to the boards and I hope you enjoy yourself here; I'm sure all of these wonderful people will make you feel at home sooner rather than later.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Talking about Paul McGann, have you ever heard any of his audio adventures? I know they're not canon, but they give an insight of what it might be like if he'd continued officially. Yeah, I've heard some of them. Not any of the New Adventures, just the older stuff. Been meaning to get more. The Chimes of Midnight is one of the most brilliant things ever.

Hi, URForeman! I like the Hinchcliffe/Holmes-y Fourish aspect of Nine, and wish there had been a chance to develop that further. Or farther. I don't have that one straight yet. It's probably further, it feels right. But enough about my struggle to master a first language!

Welcome, welcome and welcome again My name is Aldebaran. (Aldy for short) and you haven't seen much of me for awhile because I was temporarily kidnapped by the real-life dalek. A less-than fun sort of guy. Anyway, I'm a four fan and lover of all things Tom Baker. I'm an avid musician and performer of all kinds, and I'm big on Nikola Tesla. He's my hero. Good to meet you, and It's cool that you know Clocket. She's a magnet for this site. Enjoy your time here.

Magnus! My big brother! It's good to see you after all these months! The holidays happened. And I had gigs out the wazoo. "...and I guess we all know how painful that can be." --David Letterman catchphrase from the 80s. (It comes in handy, and is now old enough to be funny again.) Hi back, and I'm honored! It sounded as if some nefarious thug or somebody had made off with you. I'm expressing myself strangely tonight, but anything to keep the troops entertained on a night like this, and by troops I primarily mean me...
