*He looks like a geeky science teacher! This makes me very happy.* On another note, I had a dream about 11 and Amy last night. Amy started randomly following around and 11 kept yelling at her Shrek-style to go away.

i've a question for those of you who have read the story that Human Nature and FoB are from, was Joan's name the same? If so Moffat has some odd theme going Song...Pond...Redfern, random things he saw about the house while writing for DW?

OOOoooh my blogtorwho.blogspot.com/ as i think river has a brain i will be a bit miffed if she asked ten if he n she had done something she n eleven did, UNLESS they are just that out of time that she has ZERO chronology and has no idea which doc is which number

So... companion dressed in a sheet being led away from flaming (spaceship?) wreckage. Does this mean we're getting a future companion?
~dares to hope~
also... River Song... handcuffs... I hope this solves the whole 'where'd she get the handcuffs' thing without more awkward innuendos.
also...
the more pictures I see, the more I want to huggle Matt's Doctor. He's just so awdorkable in his suspenders and bow tie.
Anyway, answer for your query Merry: it's entirely possible that River never met Ten until that moment in the library, and that she was recognizing him based on something other than appearance. Or something.
though... I wonder if the new sonic means that this episode is going to be the last time he sees her... when he gives her his sonic...

I don't like to speculate on plot etc. just on the basis of those - they seem to lend themselves to all sorts of interpretations. Came across some MAJOR BIGTIME spoilers of my own today (in fact, I think we've already had these particular ones in the past):
*Allegedly, the first Eleven story features none other than the Sea Devils...and the second story is set entirely in the TARDIS and features Doctor and companion being stalked through the roundels by something nasty a la the film Alien.*
To be honest, I'll be surprised if either of those turn out to be true, but I think they both sound interesting.

actually, she does say she has seen him before, she says 'the last time i saw you' (I have had to really research those two episodes lol) so unless you're venturing into the Riverisevil camp (oh n dont please let the poor guy have a happy break) than I must misunderstand what you mean, Clocket.
also I thought the crashblanket would make you n JJ squee a bit in hope. As for the last time she sees him, isn't that with the Towers? N not the Byzantium? After all she said early days for the Bysantium, but i like your idea as it means 11 will get a haircut. ohh and also i don't hafta worry about moffat mucking river up

*She does look a bit...evil...in that pic with the fire in the foreground, doesn't she? Kinda Wicked Witch of your Compass Point of Choice...er... ;D No, no I'm sure that's not it...
I do like the idea of our companion being some sort of rescued astronaut or something, because that implies offworld, doesn't it, or at least future? I can live in hopes, right? Mind you, in the Whoniverse they were sending manned missions to Mars in the early 70s, so that means nothing... ;D
Thinking on that TARDIS-bound story idea, it sounds like exactly the sort of thing Moffat would do really well - I tend to dimiss the idea that we'll get a lot of creepy/horror stories just because that's the sort of thing Moffat tends to have written for Who, because surely he'll try and mix it up a bit to avoid being repetitive, but still it intrigues me.*

The Sea Devils sound very plausible simply because they're one of the few Old Skool reoccurring villains that hasn't been brought back yet (the others would be the Ice Warriors and the Rani, I suppose, hmmm)
As for the in-TARDIS episode, while I live in hope, Moffat has out and out said that he doesn't think TARDIS bound episodes are interesting "the audience wants Narnia, not the Wardrobe" or something along those lines, still, I live in hope... (because seriously, the TARDIS IS Narnia, I swear there's a mountain range in there somewhere)
To Merry, er, I was very very tired when I wrote all of that speculation, so I shall defer to your superior River-knowledge.

SO BRITISH! Makes me proud!
I was like that, hiking around the Lake District the other day - rain absolutely p***ing down, but I was all "this is my holiday dammit!" We're crazy like that.
*I'd take Ice Warriors over Sea Devils, actually, but either would be kind of squeeful, just as long as they have the string vests, although they could lose those samurai helmets they're wearing in Warriors of the Deep.
Wasn't there some rumour flying around a while ago about Gillian Anderson popping up as the Rani? It was in one of the less reputable tabloids, though, so pinch of salt...
Yes, Moffat did discount the idea of TARDIS episodes, didn't he? Then again, RTD used to discount lots of things, some of which ended up actually happening, so...*

**JJ, that rumour has also been reported by IMBD she is supposedly in the final two episodes of ten's as the Rani.**
Do you know it took me a moment to realise they weren't part of the cast, if you look at more pictures, it MUST be freezing people are going about with blankets beneath winter coats and there are two half-naked heavey-set people on the beach, i truly thought it part of the show...

*Honestly, I love his new costume. It's just part of the charm of the Doctor: taking something I might've initially thought of as mundane and making it fashionable. Also, it reminds me of Seven. Maybe it's the jacket.
As for River, I always kind of figured 11, or 12 or somebody was her Doctor. I only say this because she comments about "her" Doctor, and that Ten wasn't hers, he's just the one that got the call. Or something like that. For some reason, I also figured she was much younger when they first met, but perhaps that's because I imagine they'd had lots of adventures together and she's just grown or......I'll stop rambling now.*
