Hey, being a world board perhaps some of you Europeans have heard more than I about this rumor I have heard. It's only a writer's name so I don't think it is spoilery but I will white it out just in case. (ever since I almost spoiled everyone that time *hangs head* I'm a wee bit paranoid about it).
** Anyone know if Neil Gaiman is writing for the 2010 Doctor Who series? I have heard he is but have been wholly unable to find any confirmation or denial of this. **

If so, good, because I really liked "Dalek". Now, this is a little spoilerific, so highlight at your peril: Neil Gaiman - wouldn't that be great? Mr Croup and Mr Valdemar - now, there were a pair of baddies who wouldn't be out of place in an episode of Who... |

Oh, thank you so much! I haven't been able to find anything at all, not even the site where I first saw it. As I am an avid reader of his work, it was really quite exciting to see that and then to have been unable to find it again. *Dramatically hollers about "the humanity"*. I don't think the link is too spoilery and it did have some good points concerning the RTD era. Here we go with whiteness! ** In the US Neil Gaimam is more of a cult favourite than a best-seller. It's super-exciting possibility to me. Neil Gaiman brings a unique humour that I think fits well in the Whoniverse. He's also great with sweeping epics that don't fall apart at the end and he handles sorrow and ennui with a deftness largely missing in twenty-first century literature. I've not seen "Neverwhere" (only have read the book alas!) so I'm not sure who was in it. I quite agree that Mr. Croup n Valdemar would make great villans and just imagine what the Doctor (any of them) would have to say about Dor!  ** |

I'm extremely fond of it myself! JJ, no worries about hijacking the thread (so far as I'm concerned) conversations that go unexpected places are the best conversations.  I think the link is who-relevant as well, and wonder how this affects the betting odds, lol. |

Obviously, I don't expect him to take over as showrunner when Moffat eventually takes off to make another sitcom about smug middle-class thirtysomethings, or whatever, as i appreciate he's a busy man, but a blisteringly good episode or two per season is not, I feel, too much to ask. ;D And Merry, if the video link Clocket posted elsewhere is as authoritative as it seems, all bets may be off. |

That puts it very nicely, I think, and I like where he's coming from with regard to Who; I am intrigued by his reference to "unmaking" things; if the rumour at the top of the thread turns out to be true, that could be interesting...

That was lovely and moving, and i think it means something that everyone associated with DW in ANY manner says it's more than a "show". I like to think it does create pockets of imagination where wild things be!
