Pleased to meet all of you - I admit to having lurked for a bit off and on, but seeing as it's dear clocket's birthday somewhen around now, that seemed as good an excuse as any to go ahead a sign on. Besides, my daughter Starflower has been enjoying all of you so much I should feel rather put out otherwise. I'm an 'old skool' Whovian, raised intermittently on Four and completely unable to pick between One, Two, Four and Seven as a second-favorite after the incomparable Three. I began writing for the good Doctor sometime last year and haven't stopped yet. *offers everyone a nice, hot cup of tea with sugar*

*graciously accepts tea* Thank you, madam. Well It's a pleasure to see that old DBA has become a family-friendly site. You're not the first mother to have materialized here. My name's Aldebaran. After the star, of course, but there's really no story behind it, I'm afraid. The whovians here call me "Aldy" because it saves time and oxygen. I too am a four fan, and enjoyer of all things Tom Baker (If you couldn't tell by my decked-out profile.) But I'm an avid three fan as well. (He's really the only kind-responsible grandpa type out of any of the doctors. I admire him for it.) As I'm only 15, I'm afraid I lack the privilege of growing up with classic-who, as I've only been into the show for around a year now, but nevertheless, I've grown quite fond of the classics. I don't care what they say. The tin foil and duct tape has a charm to it. I hope you enjoy the site, and feel free to ask any of us questions about it. We always love to see a new face. You're very welcome. Ta!

Precisely! I would dearly love to see them bring back Cybermen who still have silver-painted wiffle-balls as an integral part of their costume.
Pleased to meet you, thank you for the kind welcome.

Hello there! I'm Schrodinger. I too am a classic fan, even though I started watching who recently. My mother is also a four fan, but she would probably not join a who site. I applaud your support for who! My fav doctor is five, and my favorite companions are Adric and Romana. I build Robots and stuff, and play Irish music with Aldy, for he is my Brother. Hope you have fun on this site!

I've gone the other way in my home, I think I've addicted my children! Four is a fine choice, I applaud you mother's good taste in Doctors, scarves and hats. Tell her "Prim says: oh come now! I can't be the only old lady on here!"

Welcome! I'm Kit, your friendly neighbourhood admin.
I believe I have come to the conclusion that Three fans are plotting to take over the forum. Like Newton, except that they're actually growing in number. (But this is not a bad thing.)
I too am a fan of the Third Doctor, with Four in a close second and everyone else shoved in third.
Hope you enjoy yourself here! =D

Ah tea, I'll add that to the repertoire for my tea party tomorrow (today?)
PRIMSONG! I suppose it was only a matter of time before you found your way over here, though, my meeting of your daughter was serendipitous indeed. Ah, the wonderful weirdness of the universe.

*starts another pot of tea and puts out more cups*
A fine choice, Captain Spats - Seven and Ace are amazingly wonderous also, definitely worthy of favoritism. And Clocket - yes indeed, you can't get away from me! Ha!
Hello, frills - I admire your wearing what truly suits who you are instead of boring fad clothing - go you! If I were a guy I would probably have a closet of ruffled shirts and velvet coats, just because they really do look nice on just about everyone though not everyone can wear them with the grace that Jon could.

Welcome to the boards - wait, don't I know you from somewhere? ;D
I'm from Liverpool in the UK, an oldschool fan first and foremost, but love the new series really, in spite of some of the things I say about it sometimes. My tastes run to Seven and Ace, Four and Romana (funny thing, but for quite a few years I didn't see what the fuss was about Four, but he has gradually grown on me) but I like all of the Doctors - I tend to judge Who on a story-by-story basis rather than singling out whole eras for my cheers and/or jeers.
Anyway, welcome again; I find this to be a very welcoming and enjoyable community, full of great people.

Hey Primsong! Welcome! I've spoken about you to your daughter, actually! Though I am saddened to have yet another blasted three fan on site, I am gladdened to have an LoTR fan aboard, so you're forgiven a bit. As you can clearly see from my siggie I'm a fair bit indecisive about my Doctor and unapologetic when it comes to being so (after all aren't they all the one in the same?). As for companions I lean toward the more capable ones as I hate the ones who stand about screaming for help. Also, I am an American whovian, and an older whovian, actually smack dab in no-man's land too old to be a dreaded fan-girl and too young to be "old school" lol, although I did grow up watching four and seven on WQLN (I just got lucky) (for those of you who are curious I am about to be 31 I am darn proud of my age especially as I dont look a day over 24ish in spite of having toured with the grateful dead gotta go to class now ) anyway welcome to the board!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome primrose... or you welcome me, since in my brief absence, there's been a population explosion here, and I need to reintroduce myself to the new order.
You seem only to have been here just over a week, which surprised me, since you've made a bigger impression than that, I think. Glad to have you here.
I'm old guard through and through. I was in fandom in the 80s, in a fan video-parody club, and in the 90s I was doing written parodies for a different club, and since then it's more drawings than anything else. My favorite DW period is the 70s, Hinchcliffe/Holmes most of all.
What else is important? Oh yes, I breathe mostly nitrogen, but it does relatively little for me. Only oxygen really floats my boat.
