*into microphone* Testing. Testing. Ahem... *taps* Is this contraption on? Right...
Hello men, women and children of Death by Aspirin. I go by many names depending on the point and purpose of my arrival, but you may address me as "Captain Spats" because it seems like an approachable and friendly enough name for my stay here.
I poked around the other introduction threads on this site before compiling my own to get a feel for what to write and how to write.
My favorite doctor is seven. One, though I've only began watching him recently, he's the one who's stories have kept me amused the longest and best. He's an excellent doctor, as Ace is a companion.
Secondly, on a personal note, I share Sylvester McCoy's birthday.
I pay soccer... er... football on my community team, and I sing in my school choir. (bass, if you must know) I've been a Doctor Who fan for... oh... I'd say around three years now, but according to one of my friends, (also a who fan) I'm not yet worthy to become a "Whovian". So I suppose joining this site is step one on my long journey to Whovianisim. If any of you can teach this poor lost little man the path to becoming a Whovian, I'd be much obliged.
Ta!

Ahoy Captain! (luv the name, BTW.) My name is Anastasia, and I got it from the Russian name "She who will rise again", because I adore timeadys and companions... most of 'em. My favorite companion and character is Romana, (because she kicks ass) but my favorite doctor is Six because he's a silly stud muffin. ;D Seven, eh? I haven't seen too many of his eppies, so I can't help you there. But there's a dude here named "Jjpor" who's an acclaimed seven fan. I'm sure you two will get on fine. As for becoming a Whovian, you already are. Be sure to tell your friend that you have our approval and can now be an official Whovian. Welcome to the family, Captain.

Hello I am The Master. I took over Newtons account to help her take over this forum. Yes, she will be The Master of this place.
Funny thing is Newton too has the same B-day as Sylvester McCoy. August 20th is also the birthday of that Aces actress and that Ainley guy who went around claiming to me for a while.
Don't believe what JJpor says.
Newton loves BENTON from Unit and has David Tennant hair when she doesn't wash it for a while.
Newton always has homework to do and the day she has none will be the end of the world.

And Newton is planning to take over the forum once she's completely brainwashed everyone here, so hide your spats, Captain. You may need them later. (She's great. Newton scares people, but she's really great. You'll see in time.)

(She's great. Newton scares people, but she's really great. You'll see in time.) Sadly, this is actually how she thinks. Though in the RL is keeps to her self because well, if she scares people online, who knows what she can do in the real world. Oh how I love Newton. Plus, she makes me dinner.

Hey Captain Spats! I'm Aldebaran, and my name has no origin other than I like star names. My favorite doctor is four. (If you couldn't tell by my decked out profile. ) But runners up include Ten, Three and Seven. (Seven's cool. Just got into him, actually.) Companions... I like Captain Jack Harness, Leela, K9 and Donna. I'm an Irish musician and I play 15 different instruments... well. I dabble in others. I hope you like it here. (and yes, Newton is crazy but lovable. All part of this grand dysfunctional family here. ) See ya around. looking forward to getting to know you. And yes, you ARE a Whovian. Anyone crazy enough to join DBA is a Whovian. Welcome aboard.

Wow... I leave for a few hours to grab a bite to eat... and look at what I've missed! You people rush in and out like hurricanes, don't you?
Well thanks for officially declaring me a Whovian. I have something to rub in my friend's face now. (She's a three fan, mind you. She can't help herself with being exclusive. Heh heh. )
And I'll mind myself around Newton. Anyone who talks in third-person is probably dangerous in some way.
*brandishes umbrella* Well, off to explore the site until I fall asleep at the desk. Cheerio!

Well, I'm a Three fan too (for reasons outlined in my siggy) and I also declare you an official Whovian. So there.
Seven and Nine like to try to overtake Three from time to time though (currently Nine might just be suceeding on this front... but more on that later)
...
Hi Captain Spats!
I'm Clocket, sometimes archaeologist, occasionally fanfic writer, and devoted moddy person. I welcome you to DbyA with all my welcome-y powers of welcome-y-ness.
on another note, Newton, reading your messages now that you aren't the Master any more is sureal and somewhat funny.

Well, I'm a Three fan too (for reasons outlined in my siggy). Oh. I hope I didn't offend you, Clocket. My three-friend likes to make jokes about three fans having better taste than the other fans, and when I told her I liked seven, she looked at me and laughed and said "Middle class." (Course, we're talking about a girl who wears sleeve frills to school everyday. It's kind of odd.) We get along great. She's one of my best friends. She just likes her three defensively. I wonder if I joined at a bad time.

Hey Captain Spats! Welcome, YAY for seven, he rocks even if he IS a bit scary, and if I may speak for all good whovians, tell your friend (the one who says you aren't good enough to be a whovian) to stick it! I've been a whovian since I was knee-high to a grasshopper (so yesterday maybe as I am very erm well vertically challenged) and I HATE that we have such a devisive derisive fan base ( i cannot bring myself to say fandom without first sacrificing an appendage) but seriously, WELCOME and heck with those snobby scary cyber-whovians (Oooh, I like that can we call all the elitist whovians Cyber-whos?). My favourite Doctor is undecided, as he IS the same guy, but I adore two, four, five, seven and ten. (even if my memory is a bit foggy) Companions, I LIKED Teagan (am I really the only one?) Sarah Jane and Donna. We've got a bit of a fuss over Donna, just agree with me that although I have nominated Clocket for goddess-hood, she is wrong about Donna (*huggles Clocket* tis with love) Also, forgive me, I am on my first night of term break and therefore celebrating.

You can like more than one Doctor, Merry. No shame in that. It took me years to find a doctor the clicked with me. (And as you said, they ARE the same man.) Thanks for the welcome.
Donna? What's the matter with Donna?

There's no bad time to join DbyA, we're just constantly weird. Sleeve frills to school? I wish I had her courage. I think we'd get along probably (I'm very defensive of my Three also, and UNIT, and all of the trappings which go with Three and UNIT) However, I'd hardly call Seven middleclass. I dunno what some people have against Seven. Sure, some of his stories are absolute clunkers but some of them are the best stories the series has ever seen. Also, he's just plain cool. And he has Ace!! but then, maybe it's emo of me, but I like the angsty Docs (except Ten, some subtle angst is good, too much angst and it loses meaning, though I do like Ten when he's not being angsty...) but yeah... I like Three's subtle grief over Jamie and Zoe, Seven's darkness, and Nine's mania. Maybe I just like Doctor's who are dystfunctional?? Which leads to Six, but patchwork coat asside, I think he Six was far more functional than he was letting on. I mean, he had the good sense to try to kill Peri after all.

Haha. Well, I hated Mel WAY worse than I hated Peri. Ye Gods, that shriek.... *cringes*
I'll ask her to join, if you'd like. She's not a bad person, like I said. She just loves her three.
Okayyyyyyy then. 1st amendment. I'm with you. lol.

Yes, please do. I need to find more Threefans to socialize with. I've managed to convert this forum into loving Benton and the Brig (and I've got Three into a few people's favourites) but the Three cause can always use a bit more love. (that said, I'm not trying to take over the forum or anything. noooooooooo. That's Newton's job ) though Donna is Romana, and I'm glad to know people agree with me. For this is trufax. Also, Mel is dumb as a stick and has the personality of a doorknob. For all intents and purposes she is eighties Donna with the win parts taken out and a bad blue dress. And a shriek that could curdle vinager. But for some reason I still like her.

No, you're not as a person. You're just trying to plant the three-meme into everyone's minds. It's the Richard Dawkins' method of taking over the forum.
Works better than the "master method" in most situations, and lasts longer too.
And ye gods that shriek... *cringes* I hate Mel. Mel is the devil in a puffy dress. No, I lied. The devil would have better character than her.
Again, nothing against you, Clocket. I've hated Mel since I first saw her.

She's annoying to be sure, but I can't help but love her utter idiocy in Paradise Towers (which is my favourite Seven story, and on my shortlist of favourite stories period)
They way she jumps into the swimming pool with the deadly robots to take a swim at the most random time ever after being told by all and sundry that people who go into the pool die, after seeing people dying left right and centre, and is so surprised when there ARE killer robots.
That kind of dumbness is priceless. And very funny to watch.

I KNOW!
She jumped in, and my reaction resulted in head trauma from banging my head against the wall so hard. (No wonder the Doctor has problematic regenerations.)
