I like Green Death and Mind of Evil. Planet of the Spiders is a really good one, though.

Ooo... all of them?
Time Monster wins though
Green Death and Mind of Evil are up there, so is Frontier in Space/Planet of the Daleks.
And Invasion of the Dinosaurs, just cause; who doesn't love the awful sfx??

Actually, I was watching Time Monster on youtube the other day and it's got some great forshadowing to sound of drums. I'm willing to bet its where RTD got some of the ideas from.

I'm a huge fan of the entire seventh series (strange electronic kazoo music aside) - especially "Inferno" - but I'll happily marathon any Third Doctor episodes in rapid succession. I've got a bit of a thing for "The Mind of Evil", and "Invasion of the Dinosaurs" has a lot of wonderful moments (the effects top the list, obviously!). And the "Frontier in Space"/"Planet of the Daleks" serials are just amazing.

I LOLed, if I can say that in mixed company.
I marathoned Pertwee recently, if I can say that in mixed company. I got an impression of the program being pulled in two directions, between progressive people trying to make real science-fiction out of DW, and others (old "company men" I suppose) mired in the image of DW as a "children's show" that doesn't need money or good writing. (I'm starting to think, though, that British standards for children's television might be much higher than the US's... American networks seem to forget that these children they're making drivel for will grow up some day.)
Pertwee DW seems to take off and push forward at some points, then when I'm sure they've set a higher standard and aren't looking back, some lighter and sillier story comes along. It's possible that some of the sets and costumes are prejudicing me against good stories, sometimes. I can't stand to look at most of the visuals in the Peladon stories. Those miners' hair-helmets...
This time, Planet of the Daleks really impressed me, and this one always struck me as the one that was hard to trudge through, because the humor level drops to zero. Anyway, great transition from Frontier-- it really seems adult at this point. They were playing around with the structure of stories. So many stories had disappointments in the design (I'm in a sour mood so that didn't help) that I was very impressed when POTD came along. They really cared about the visuals here. Lots of detail, great mood conveyed (the bits set at the spot in the jungle where they went to wait out the night were great.... really nice glow, and we see off into the distance for the first time)
I'd better stop going into detail on this thread. My favorites are Frontier in Space (and I could attach PotD to it if I'm allowed), Time Warrior, and I'm glad to see love for Mind of Evil here, since I don't see it on other boards.

My guess is that people can't look past the black and whiteness of Mind of Evil. It's a seriously great story though. It's a shame that they lost the colour copies.
Delgado!Master is without equal as the best DW villian of them all.
