OK, so I'm watching David Tennant in Blackpool today because I'm home sick.
It was actually my plan to start watching the series last night after finishing my paper but that plan was somewhat mucked up when I discovered the urgent need to attempt to drop into after haf-asseldly finishing my paper and then started throwing up... It was a fun night... Feeling slightly better now for it though.
For those who haven't heard of it here's the wiki link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackpool_%28TV_serial%29
Blackpool is quite fun as it turns out. I kept getting clips from it in my recommended youtube videos and finally resolved to check it out.
I decided anything that was listed as a "musical comedy crime drama" produced by the BBC with Tennant was probably worth a look.
Despite the fact that I now have "Cupid" by Johhny Nash stuck in my head, (and yes I was right, my mother did recognize and start singing along with the song when I recited the first two words to her when she came home. Really, I just knew she'd know the song... It's so here. XD ) I REGRET NOTHING!
It took almost four full episodes (of six) for David Tennant's character to stop compulsively eating in every scene... It was quite entertaining actually, now I just feel like his character's missing something... XD
Check out Tennant's adorable kicked puppy expression as he prepares to begin an affair with a married woman: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpGvXKis4oM
DI Carlsile is such an interesting character...
