About to board the flight home from Italy. So sad i forgot to bring my tardis with me, to pose in shots, but here's a sample of what we tried to work out. Please, no one tell me about the Wedding of River Song, cause I'm at least two episodes behind, and need to see the sequel to The Lodger first, before I can conclude the season. Hope all is well with you. Italy has been amazing. Didn't get to find where they shot Vampires of Venice though...but not for looking! Attachments:

Damn, you got to Venice? *pouts* (well, not really because, even sans Venice my trip was awesome). How was it? Did you visit any of the islands? Confusing? I've heard that it's more confusing than Rome which boggles the mind...
You wouldn't have found the filming sites though since Vampires of Venice was actually filmed in Croatia.
I'm giggling at your photo. Did you get to see the security guards scream at people to get off the grass every two minutes?

Well, we're back home now, after more than 26 hours traveling from when we got up at 5 a.m. in Rome, to a 9.5 hour flight to Atlanta, then a 2 hour flight to Pittsburgh and a 2.5 hour bus ride back to the pick up point, and a 1 hour ride home...arriving at 2 a.m. local time (6 hour time zone difference, remember....)
No, no guards screaming at tourists about the grass, but we DID hear them saying SHHHHH... ever few moments in the Sistine Chapel.... And just about shot some that snapped pictures.... the rain started to fall outside, but that was the end of the bad weather as we ducked into a place for lunch.
No wonder we didn't find the Doctor filming site in Venice...we searched and searched... And I wandered around Florence, getting disoriented at night... ("a three-hour tour...a three hour tour..." If not for the courage of the fearless Captain, the tourists would be lost...")
And yes, we jumped from island to island in Venice..finding the Ronalto Bridge, and the usual sights. Maybe post a few other shots later if anyone is interested. Aqua seems to have held down the fort, but the mound of dirty dishes in the kitchen sink has never been matched before...except for our dirty laundry! LOL!
