I beleive I mentioned a wile ago, probably during DWlive, that for some reason the idea of the Doctor having an enormous ball of string or twine somewhere kept occurring to me. I don't quite know why, I'm blaming it on this picture, I think. fc00.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/021/a/7/the_master_is_king_of_the_yarn_by_caycowa-d37qgqh.png
The idea tickles me greatly for some reason. I imagine it'd take the TARDIS to hold the amount of string that someone like the Doctor is likely to have collected in several hundred years.
Anyway, I'm listening to the audio Caerdronia by Lloyd Rose, who is one of my absolute favorite DW novels. I just came to this scene and absolutely squeeed and had to share it before I could move on with my life.
For those not familiar with the Audio, at this point, the Doctor has been accidentally split into three; A normal Doctor, one who seems to have all of the doctors curiosity, wonder, and very little of his restraint, and one who is quite grumpy, pessimistic, and possesses none of the Doctor's tact. The Doctor's two companions in this audio are C'rizz and Charlie Poland (who has glibly nicknamed the latter two personalities "Tigger" and "Eeyore"). XD They're deciding how best to proceed through the labyrinth they've found themselves in...
Tigger: "I have some string!"
Eeyore: "We're all very happy for you, I'm sure."
Doctor: "Oh, hang on. How much string?"
Tigger: "A whole ball of it, here!
Charlie: "That's as big as a beach ball!"
C'rizz: "How could that have fitted into his pocket?"
Charlie: "He get's vague when I ask. I don't think he knows, actually."
I've not listened to any of the other audios that make up this arc really, and this one ends it, so I'm kind of playing catch-up as usual with all the eight Doctor stories I've read so spectacularly out of order, but I'm still loving it!
I'm becoming quite fond of Charlie and C'rizz and I've hardly known them! ^^
