Okay, new game. We're all going to try to predict the next series (up to the cliff-hanger anyways). We've got a month and a half. *rubs hands together*
ARE YOU READY?!?
There will be two categories of play:
Category One: Beware The Crack!
Entries in this category don't need to heed the rules of logic. It doesn't matter if you've been avoiding spoilers like the plague... because none of this is ever going to happen. EVER. (we hope). Sample crack plot:
River is actually the Rani and will try to kill Eleven with an army of Tickle-Me-Elmo dolls. Can Amy save the day? Or will her Dalek-induced pregnancy make her two slow? Also, Rory is an Ood in disguise!
Now, you CAN use spoiler in your Beware The Crack entry, but please be sure to put it safely under the white text.
Category Two: Silence Will Fall!
Entries in this category can and probably will contain spoilers SO PUT THEM UNDER THE WHITE TEXT PLEASE. Give your theory on what's going to happen in series 6.
You can have multiple entries on each contest. You can build on each others entries. The game will end when the FIRST EPISODE of series 6 airs. As the series progresses we will look at this thread and give our respect and awe to the entire which were closest to the mark and laugh at the ones which were so far away it's hilarious.
Rules:
1. WHITE TEXT FOR SPOILERS. If you don't know how to do white text, it's easy. Just highlight the section you want hidden and then select any colour from the colors menu beside all of the text editing functions. White isn't an option, but you can manually change it to white once you've selected a colour.
2. This isn't the place for new spoilers. This is the place for theories. You can use spoilers already posted on the spoiler board IF YOU WHITE THEM OUT, but if you want to include new spoilers please post them on the other board first and attach a warning.
...I've gone and made this all so very complicated haven't I? Er... Well. Have fun!

Alrighty, well, firstly, in the crack-that-I'm-really-terribly-afraid-isn't-crack-at-all-category we've this little gem
BEWARE THE CRACK! (which really was the theme of series one, so Clever, you, CP)
** "A River begins life as a Pond" a line supposedly overheard or cut or some such thing and it seems like a neat (as in clean) side-step for the Moff (making River turn out to be Amy). And ever since TBB, I don't put side-steps past him. Though I honestly am not sure I'd mind River turning out to be Amy n Rory's daughter**
I've more but I want to reread the spoilers thread before I proffer a proper entry into the serious section. By the by, what do we win if we win the lottery? Can it be a TARDIS key? I dunno about you lot, but I sure could use a perception filter...

Hmm, it turns out the Doctor is really the Master's half brother and Borusa is his grandfather, and... ;D
No... Okay, SILENCE WILL FALL:
*Not all of the Amy-Rory-Eleven triad will make it to the end of S6 alive. I really wouldn't be surprised if it was Eleven, despite the noises coming out of the Beeb about Smith definitely staying. If it was Rory again, I'd consider a bit harsh. ;D Anyway, whichever one of the two menfolk dies, it will be Amy who kills him for the best of reasons, and she then becomes River. Somehow. I'm sure it will make sense in the context of the actual episode. Probably.*
I think this might count as MIND THE CRACK as it is pure speculation, but who knows it might even happen:
*Okay, the "silence will fall" voice is not in fact the Master, Davros, Omega, the Dream Lord, Uncle Tom Cobleigh or anybody else - it is in fact the "evil TARDIS" glimpsed in The Lodger, driven mad by involvement in the Time War and determined to make the whole multiverse pay for its suffering. It might even turn out to be the Doctor's TARDIS through some contortion of timey-wimeyness.... Anyway, the person who reveals this to the Doctor is none other than Romana, who turns out to be alive, played by the actress who played the Mona Lisa in SJA.
And Romana then turns evil/dies, and I cry like a baby and vow never to watch NuWho again, instead retreating to mourn in a corner with my Season 16-17 DVDs.
Seriously!*

BEWARE THE CRACK:
A plague of dragons appear mysteriously on the surface of Mars, and the Doctor has to prevent the melting Waters from wiping out Ice Warrior civilization before its time. Unfortunately, a flea-sized alien possessing great powers over atomic structures is bent on re-creating the sport of dragon-taming based on a freak transmission that directed its attention to 20th century earth, the Internet. In the process, the Doctor narrowly misses encountering his Second incarnation and acquires a pair of oversized oven mitts which he refuses to take off, claiming that "I wear oven mitts now. Oven mitts are cool." Amy is captured by angry Ice Warriors and gets a bizarre haircut.

You? I'm scaring ME to death! I think it's some sort of superstitious idea at the back of my mind that if I go around saying the (from my pov) worst case scenarios out loud, then they won't come true because I'm usually terrible at predicting things. ;D I apply this principle to many different areas of daily life, and the strange thing is it works. Except when it doesn't, of course...

You mean like the time I went around saying ''I probably have a brain tumor!'' ?

Hopefully not, although I have occasionally entertained worst-case speculations on things like illnesses, and I haven't had any of them yet... But on-topic, another prediction: * The bearded Doctor is a clone created by the US military-industrial complex using some random DNA sample they picked up from somewhere or other and has been living in conditions of isolation/guinea-pigdom at Area 51 for whatever its natural lifespan is. So, a bit like Handy really. And it'll all be really pitiful and give Smith a chance to play a slightly different role. I think other people have suggested the clone part, but this is my suggestion on how it will happen.*

Okay, another really cracky one that just occurred to me, thinking about one very speculative spoiler we got a while back: Beware the crack! * The Doctor gets Amy pregnant (via scientific means, obviously! ) - with himself!!! Right, bear with me - Eleven gets killed, but not really because he manages to do implant a clone of himself into Amy and somehow transfer his consciousness to the clone...and then Amy gives birth to him! Which might make her the mysterious woman in white in EoT, only not really, because I completely refuse to accept Rusty's claim that the woman in white was the Doctor's mum, even in a not-really sense!* No, I haven't been taking anything... And no, I don't think it will really happen, just trying to cover all possible eventualities here... ;D

okay, my Silence will fall a bit of it anyway since we know the death is in the first ten minutes of episode and they even hold a proper funeral and given that we know the first episode sets up the ENTIRE series and we are being force fed unclever timey-whimeyness at every turn, I say the entire series is them racing through time fighting the silences trying to stop that death happening! Also somewhere there is a duplicate Doctor and all those OOC moments will be valid and brilliant clues (as opposed to my being wildly OCD hahaha) and sadly, also, I think Amy is River and I think that's a cop-out but to be sure I have to rewatch River's storyline so i will elaborate on that later Oooh, also the fake TARDIS plays into this somehow...but I haven't quite decided how as yet. that is all. **

You know, if the death happens within the first ten minutes then I've an awful feeling it is Eleven... because everything I've heard point to the episode opening with beardy!Doc, and the other character are all supposed to have a secret they can't tell under any circumstances.
If that's the case then the rest of the series will probably be his companions looking for ways to prevent the inevitable while keeping Eleven oblivious.
Unless, of course, it's all clones.

I figured out why I think it would be a cheat, and why I didn't realise before, it is an episode I often complain about! The Big Bang! When River sees Rory she is surprised he is on their side (Amy wouldn't be and if River is Amy she shouldn't be. Some of you will say well, this is because Moffat is so clever, he wrote that in knowing she was Amy n River was just pretending to be surprised. Fine, I can't argue that point of view, but I can point out the scene in Amy's house, River is genuinely disturbed and saddened to see the depth of Amy's obsession, she even says aloud "Oh, Doctor, why do I let you out?" When nobody is around, so unless she's also got SEVERE D.I.D. (dissociative identity disorder) then she cannot be Amy, because she was genuinely shocked. there I KNEW I would figure it out. Also, I didn't know immediately why as I haven't watched this series as much as I have rewatched others due again to those moments. HOWEVER Karen GIllan does say they planted clues all last series that pointed toward this series so I may yet be redeemed!

*I think you make a strong argument there, Merry - I agree that if they did go down that route they'd need to come up with some major explanations for those points, and yes. I'm not really sure I believe they could do that without it seeming stupid, that doesn't mean they won't try, I guess.
I think Clocket might well be right in the theory she puts forward in ther last post, though.*

I'm going to try my hand at this, even though I'm usually crap at predicting what's going to happen. I can't guarantee how accurate this is going to be, or if this is even within the possible timeline of the new series, but fwiw, it's probably a combination of beware the crack and serious prediction ...
Silence Will Fall: 1) River and Amy know that the Doctor has to do something terrible in order to save his own life, and Amy is sworn to secrecy. This ties in with "I killed the best man I ever knew" (not sure if that's the exact quote) - I saw this somewhere, maybe this was metaphorical? Maybe she helped him make the choice to become all Valeyard-Dream Lord-Time Lord Victorious and that was the "death" of the Doctor? And I was thinking that the Gallifreyan Regeneration Cube probably exists.
2) Who is River? Judging by the assumption that the GRC exists (maybe, maybe not, but this is following the idea that it does), then she's not exactly a Time Lady, but she could be Gallifreyan. Humans can't pronounce the Doctor's real name. If I were being terrible I could theorise that it was Iris Wildthyme, but that's probably the pain meds talking (besides, he's already met Iris, so it doesn't really count).
3) Idris is a manifestation of the TARDIS, and that glowing sphere in the middle of the coral TARDIS could be ... well, I don't know if it fits into the general continuity (probably not) but it would be awesome if that were how she shows up. If not, that glowing sphere and the coral TARDIS may be Eleven showing Rory and Amy a memory through psychic means.
I'm going to stop now because I'm likely not making any sense whatsoever. ;D
More along my alley:
Beware the Crack! 1) Omega returns, kidnaps little Amy, takes her to America where she calls the president to taunt him about the monsters she and Omega have unleashed against the States. A single Dalek runs a cooking programme called "Exterminate Bad Pudding," but that has no bearing whatsoever on the plot. The Doctor battles himself ala Six vs. Valeyard, but with more special effects. And LIGHTSABRES. And Rory swoops down with a cape and stops the fight with an onion and an aubergine that he stole from the Dalek, they have tea with sad clowns (ratatouille) and the series ends with mondasian Cybermen throwing a party and not inviting Team TARDIS (or Karen and the Babes, as they now prefer to be called), which makes everyone very sad.
And then a giant foot descends from the sky and crushes them all. Yay!
