Spearhead from Space
Dalek invasion of Earth
The Seeds of Death
The Mind Robber
The War Games
Vengeance on Varos
Resurrection of the Daleks
The Masque of Mandragora
Survival
Ghost Light
The Curse of Fenric
Earthshock
The Two Doctors
The Five Doctors
The Three Doctors
The Tomb of the Cybermen
Battlefield
Delta and the Bannermen
Timelash
Mark of the Rani
Revelation of the Daleks
Attack of the Cybermen
Underworld
The Deadly Assassin
The Invasion of Time
Image of the Fendahl
Robot
The Leisure Hive
City of Death
Destiny of the Daleks
Frontier in Space
Planet of the Daleks
Mawdryn Undead
Terminus
Enlightenment
Trial of Time Lord
Full Circle
State of Decay
Warrior's Gate
The Keeper of Traken
Logopolis
Castrovalva
The Ribos Operation
The Pirate Planet
The Stones of Blood
The Androids of Tara
The Power of Kroll
The Armageddon Factor
It will be the biggest collection of Doctor Who ever purchased simultaneously in the Anchorage area, methinks. The whole thing will be priced in the range of $735. BUT IT'S FREE SHIPPING PEOPLE!! FREE SHIPPING!!
But, on a semi-serious side, do we have any other absolute nutters who are willing to sacrifice food, shelter, and social contact all in the name of pursuing their ultimate fandom? (please say yes...)

Oh BadWolf . . . we may have been separated at birth. I have never purchased that many DVD's at one time, but I have an embarrassingly large collection. Doctor Who is very well represented (I have 19 of the ones on your list, plus others that aren't listed), but so are many other shows.
You will be the hero of Alaska Whovians!

It's not the Amazon mega package is it? Because I've hear that they're cheaper if you put them into the cart individually than buy the big package (mostly because some of them are usually on for half off)
I splurged and bought the entire NuWho run (as it then stood) last summer. It cost a little under 200$ with the shipping. It was (and is) epic win. Even if series 4 came in a broken box and one of the discs doesn't work properly... no one likes the Sontaran episodes anyway LOL
speaking of Amazon, they just sent me this:
"As someone who has purchased or rated Doctor Who: The Curse of Fenric or other films in the ( D ) > Davison, Peter category, you might like to know that All Creatures Great and Small: Series 1 is now available. You can order yours by following the link below."
LOL, Amazon, your leaps of logic, the are both wonderful and face!palmy. Also, whyyyyy is it tempting me with Tristin when I really REALLY can't afford him?? WHyyyy???

I have never done that. I can't afford it. I rather travel. Food and travel. I need to stop wasting money on food.
Anyway. If these make DVDs truly make you happy, then go for it.

It's all about what you enjoy and it's all about priorities. I only got those DVDs after working a full summer and winning a nice scholarship (read: was the only one to apply for it and won by default). Rent comes first, obviously (otherwise, where would I put the pretties?)

At your financial aid office is where! Seriously though, I just put my name in the hat because they have a single form for all of the university bursaries and I guess I was the only 3rd year Anthro student who "applied" for the upper year Anthro bursary. Given that the form took all of five minutes to fill out I REALLY don't understand why more students don't toss their names in the hat. I mean, it's not often in life that people will just hand you free money.

I love your overdose (is such a thing possible?) - what a grand summer you will have!
Reminds me of when we bought the bulk of our collection, two huge boxes stuffed with VHS tapes with nearly all of the classic episodes, we're only missing a handful of One, Five and Six. It was like Christmas except a bazillion times nicer. ^_^ Enjoy!

Oooh. Fun. ;D I've built up my DVD collection slowly, and I DO have a scary amount of those. I remember though, when I took up a DWM offer for the New Adventures and got 20 books in a box in the post when I was a student. It was a bargain! I had them piled up by my desk for ages, in two piles that changed shape (from unread to read). I might sometimes moan about some NAs (and, oh, that 'grown up' attitude ) but that was huge fun. Riches! And last year I bought all 4 series of Blake's 7, two series at a time, with my b'day money - wasn't far behind this type of insanity - and it was all due to DW, anyway. (And they were wonderful, if I haven't made that clear enough yet.)

Heheh - I've just been ticking off the ones on your list that I've got and thinking...blimey, I've spent a lot of money on those things over the years, haven't I?? ;D Oh, when oh when will they bring Happiness Patrol and Greatest Show in the Galaxy out on DVD?? When??? I mean, I think the next Seven release is Time and the Rani, which while it has its fine points...er, yeah... But yeah, I say if you've got the money and that's what you want to buy, go for it! I mean, you earned that stuff.
