Okay, strictly speaking I was in pretty far over my head before I ever bumped into Prim - but I'm blaming her anyway, because she's responsible for the most important part.
Hello, everyone! I'm curuchamion, or Curu if you'd rather not try to spell all that. I'm a dabbler in many fandoms, sporadic writer of odd shortfic, and plushie!Three-carrying Whonatic.
It all began about sixteen months ago when I decided I needed a scarf. It had to be long enough, wide enough, warm enough, and above all require no brainpower whatsoever - I'd been working on a twenty-color-a-row intarsia sweater and had gotten thoroughly sick of paying attention to my knitting. Ravelry, the knitters' networking website, just happened to have a "Doctor Who Scarf Support Group", so I poked my nose in...
... I finished my Scarf in ten days.
(Granted, it was a Season 14 - the shortest version - but hey. It's still ten feet long.)
Over the next few months, I investigated the Whoniverse as well as I could; my library has reference books and novelizations, but no Classic Who whatsoever, and I had no other method of watching. When I'd exhausted the books, therefore, I began cautiously investigating the available fanfic... and fell quite accidentally in love with the Third Doctor.
This was, of course, Primsong's fault. Frankly, I do not see how anyone could possibly read Prim's Three writing and not fall in love. Anyway, I became incurably Three-obsessed, and at some point crocheted myself a plushie!Three. And then discovered that Prim also has a plushie!Three... we keep weirding each other out with things like that.
So every so often, she says I really ought to join Death by Aspirin... so finally, I have.
I think that's plenty for an intro post - see y'all 'round!
