Okay, have any of you ever started writing a story based solely around a single scene that came to you? From that scene the story started to become something more... and you write that scene and perhaps something before and/or after it... and you might even have started to plot out what should happen in terms of foreshadowing and development of OCs... but then all of a sudden you stop.... You start to realise that despite the twists and turns you thought up... you really only wanted to write that one scene. Everything else is more of a... that's not bad but do I want to? sort of feeling. Well, I've done that with this tale: abbyromana.livejournal.com/44724.htmlChapter 2 is the scene that came to me... inspired by an idea I got from talking to clocket and readying the posts in the Ian posting. I like it... and I have two possible developments: one short and the other more complex and adventurous, but I no longer know if its worth writing either. What do you guys and girls think? What would you do in my shoes? I'd love feedback and thoughts.

I'd finish, many of my stories start from a single idea or image that kinda explodes on paper, and yes, many times I have glumly realised I really only liked that one scene, but pushing through them has given me some of the very best stories, and the next few ideas that come after have always been sooo easy to write in comparison.

There's only one time I focussed on a particular scene, but nothing came of it, as is usual for me.
