Ok so Hi, I started watching Doctor Who during Peter Davidson`s run, then i caught Tom Baker reruns as wll as Pertwee, I loved all of them, It was and still is the best series Ever! It would be hard to pick a favorite Doctor eventhough my wife and I both agree Tennant is ANAZING. I live in South Carolina USA, So I have not seen any of the specials yet, I`m worried about this new guy He looks like a vampire, has anyone seen His costume? can He act? I wish Tennant would do 1 more season at least, well nice to meet you all.

I bloody love you. Those were pretty much my EXACT words on seeing the promo pics. Don't worry though, the actual costume is far less offensive (well, to my sensibilities at least, I know that there are dozens of people up in arms about it because Tennant isn't the one wearing it... O.o). But yes, the costume is acceptable. You can see it, as well as other assorted discussion and spoilers here: deathbyaspirin.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=11 I've heard he's a rather good actor too, but I can't say if this is true or not from personal experience. But, before I get carried away: WELCOME TO THE FORUM! I'm Clocket, I started with Nine and worked my way back (and forwards). I'm a staunch supporter of Three and Seven, but really it depends on whoever I've been looking at last. Everyone here is super friendly and between the lot of us we represent just about all the eras of Whovianism. Enjoy wandering about, just in on some discussion, spam the c-box.

Welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy yourself on the boards; they are a friendly bunch, after all! It sounds as if your Who-involvement is of a similar vintage to my own; I started watching as a wee'un back in the 80s - Davison, Baker, C, McCoy - and then caught up with the older ones via repeats and VHS tapes. McCoy is "my" Doctor, for better or worse, and I won't hear a word said against him! Actually, I'll probably laugh and agree with words said against him, but that doesn't stop me from loving Seven. I have a love/hate thing going with the new series, but I think both Eccleston and Tennant have been excellent in it.
And Eleven does look a bit...well...like a clone or something. Or the Mona Lisa, depending... ;D

Frankenstein's monster? Aw, but I love that shot. I think it's kind of awdorkable. I'm kind of obsessed with the *spoiler* bowtie though... I DO, however, want to know where his eyebrows went. Mona Lisa indeed.

My first impression of him as well - you are Among Friends!
I'm Prim, another old-school fan with my faves being a firm tie between Two and Three, with One and Seven hovering right behind them, but I've found something to love about all of them (yes, even Six). Welcome to our little corner of the net, these are good folks here.

Welcome Storm! I am also from the US, but I never had the opportunity to watch DW until the series was revived. So, Ten is MY doctor, then I went back to see Nine, then I went further back to see the classics. I am still working my way through, but so far I really like something about every Doctor.
Please consider stopping by for Doctor Who Live on Saturdays at 9 p.m. We watch episodes and chat about them. You can find info about it in the Announcements area.
BTW, the comment about Matt Smith's eyebrows (or lack thereof) made me LOL. I watched the New Beginnings box set this weekend, including an interview with Tom Baker that was one of the DVD extras. I swear . . . he didn't have any eyebrows!! At first I thought they just were hard to see because they are white now, but I really don't think they are there anymore. I mean, he used to have eyebrows, didn't he? Maybe the curly hair concealed the lack from us?

Hello Storm. I want to assure you that I have eyebrows. Also, I started watching circa 1979 when they showed the first four Tom seasons over and over, which was the best intro one could hope for, I think. My first scene was the one in Talons where Tom and Leela are in Lightfoot's house discussing what to do, then Greel is suddenly at the table with them. I'd thought, oh, typical BBC costume drama, then all hell breaks loose, with time cabinets, Peking homonculi, and the 51st century, ancient Chinese gods, etc., and it was like having the floor pulled out from under you, but in a very good way.

Thank you all for the welcome, i haven`t seen the older episodes in 10 years, so my memory is a bit rusty as for as episode names go. i`ve only seen a few of Hartnell`s, i do love the Quote at the bottom, I`ve seen only 1 of Troughton, but i found him very likeable, My mom loved pertwee, And i thought He was very cool and witty, His costumes were great, My Sister had a crush on Tom Baker, I really liked His Attitude and how he changed costumes, He had some Very cool coats, Davidson was my fav, From personality to costume i enjoyed every episode, plus i had a huge crush on nyssa , Colin Baker was ok, took some getting used to the costume, McCoy i only saw a few of his, the costume was..... interesting, He played the role a bit too comical for me, Megann did good with a bad script, outfit was great, Eccleston played it very strong i liked Him alot, the outfit was not Whoish to me but He made it work. Tennant i did not like the first pics i saw of Him, they screamed nerd, Boy was i wrong, He reminded me of 3-4-5 all rolled into 1, my wife loves Him, i hate to see Him go so soon! ok now smith, i`ve seen the outfit and i can live with it, hope he can do a good job, i will watch no matter what, i hope i have not offended anyone, i know how we all like our Doctors, i`ll shut up now.

Hello, and welcome! I'm, wanderlust (apologies for stating the obvious), but you can call me Mary (or 'hey you'. It makes no nevermind to me). I'm a NuWho fan, but have fallen head over heels in love with the old series and am very fond of Four (but I fear that has to do with his being my Mom's Doctor, so he was the first classic Who I ever did see), and Two, even if he is a bit of a space hobo.
I hope you enjoy your time here, everyone is very cool.
