That is an important distinction, one I'm not sure I always made properly in the past, much to my shame. These panels have been the first not-in-character example of Tennant I've seen, and the result is a fall-girl free-fall onto the bandwagon (well, I'm more clinging onto the back bumper than anything, later comer you see, all the prime seats are taken). As for Ten, the nostalgia is hitting hard and I'm finally sucking up and admitting that I do really like him in some episodes. Really. Really like. Though the angst episodes of doom still drive me batty. /// <- bad attempt at making a Ten icon Oh may, finally clocket is one of us!

Newton used the E word! Newton used the E word! I had some good chills while watching the awful awful quilty trailer. That says something. I agree with you. I was just teasing over the use of the word!

I haven't watched all the videos, but did any angry Torchwood fans do something? I haven't heard anything, which is a bit disappointing because I remember hearing talk of plans and I was kind of looking forward to crazy fan hijinks with RTD. But I'm glad he escaped uninjured, because I was seriously getting worried for a minute there.

I do not understand fangirls sometimes. RTD finally serves up something incredible with Children of Earth, and all he gets is abuse.

Indeed - the best Torchwood story ever, seriously, and all of that badmouthing in return?? As I said somewhere above, some people don't deserve good television programmes... Yeah, Merry - I've always liked to think that the Doctor has more resilience and strength of character than to have been broken by things like Doomsday and Journey's End; obviously I disagree with RTD on that point. Still, I hope that Moffat takes the chance to draw a line under that stuff with Eleven. As for Tennant - I still think the guy's kind of awesome, and kudos to him and his agent for managing to pull of whatever RTD-arm-twisting deal allowed him to go off and do Hamlet for six months while still getting to be the Doctor for another year. Some serious negotiating power there (maybe bolstered by the worship of a billion squeeing fangirls, I supect)! Even if it hasn't exactly improved Eleven's position... And, yeah, Clocket - I'm with you on slightly falling onto the Ten bandwagon as well. He has moments of fail, as some of you might say, but definite moments of win, as well...I'm definitely going to miss him, I think. Maybe I felt this way about Five or Six back in the day, I can't remember (probably not Six, though!); Seven's departure may have had its impact lessened by the fact that he'd already effectively been gone for seven years beforehand... *comes to the horrified conclusion that this may be the first proper Doctor regeneration he's lived through as a fan as opposed to watching after the event on video* Well, okay, Nine obviously, but that didn't seem to have the same epic, apocalyptic, end-of-an-era type vibes going on...
