My site... "The Cardboard Tardis"... has been EXTRAORDINARILY unsuccessful, dull and uneventful, and frankly, I'm losing interest in it. As long as this site is up and running, I'd much rather stay here and be a part of a well-established and existing family than waste my time trying to clone perfection.
I haven't used it in months, and it's taken up webspace that could be better used. People have joined, but I haven't been there to greet them, so they left. It's falling to ruin, and it depresses me even thinking about it.
Therefore... I'm closing it. Just so you all know.
Kit/other admins... please take my "Cardboard Tardis" banner off your affiliates list, because if people click there, there'll be nowhere for them to land.
That said.... let the flames commence!

I am very sorry for your lose. It's hard running a board and even harder to get people to join and be active. Some people have the talent while others don't.
*brings out flamethrower*
When do we start?

Better to let it die gracefully than to leave it gathering dust in a corner forever.... I am sorry it didn't turn out as you'd hoped, but I know keeping a website 'alive' can really be a job unless you have a team you can rotate with, and then retaining folks who have any appreciable time to spend online there is another thing. At least there's still DbA, and we're glad you're here with us, yes we are.

Sites are insubstantial things that don't really exist anywhere, that you pour your heart into which then go poof suddenly... My medical condition board just vaporized one day.
Anyway, I like the idea of lighting on fire the wreckage you leave behind you in life....! It makes for good drama, if nothing else.

Thanks for the support, guys. And I apologize to those who joined recently... but hey... things happen. And perhaps one day, I'll be a leader, but for now as long as I have it, being a simple user on DbA is just fine with me. Less hassle... and I have no guilt to depress me here.

We all have similar tales. I had to shutdown an unused UDP render node that nobody was using. And a forum.

It hurts, at first... but like a bad relationship, time heals the bulk of it. lol
