Hello. I suppose you're wondering why I've brought you all here tonight.... But before I name the murderer (and it might be me), I'd like to ask for background info. on Five's elusive companion Kamelion. See, I'm caught up in writing a stupid story about why we didn't see much of Kamelion for so long. This led to a stupid marathon of King's Demons, Time-Flight, and Planet of Fire, for every scrap of pertinent data on Kamelion and his origins, not because I was interested, but just because I started writing this thing, it started to be funny I thought, then I realized I had to get the facts straight to finish. Woe = me.
I like a great deal about Five's era, but I really did pick a lousy marathon. There are bits I like in all these stories, but watching them together led to my coming very close to hating these stories. I overloaded myself on questionable Who. I started to wonder if I'd been away from old Who for so long that I somehow did grow out of what might after all be the children's show I always said it wasn't. See my new signature.... I'll be better soon though.
Anyway, Kamelion and the Master had a "fateful meeting" on the planet "Xeraphass" after the Master was whisked away there after Time-Flight. The planet's radiation had cooled down, and the Xeraphim would have started to individuate after spending a fair stretch of time on Earth during the Jurassic Era in the form of one single corporate creature as a survival tactic. (I hope no one catches me typing this... fingers crossed! Wait, I can't type that way...)
Okay, so a shape-changing robot was hanging around for millions of years while the planet's inhabitants were holidaying on Earth but not in a peak season. Was he like Marvin the depressed android, parking cars all that time? For nobody?
The Master got his broken circuit fixed which was supposed to blow out after the trip according to Five. Wait, the Master got to Heathrow so I'm confused. So you're all saying, only NOW are you getting around to being confused Magnus?
One way or another, Master stuck on Xeraphass, fateful meeting with robot, robot helps Master somehow get away by impersonating newly-reborn Xeraphim and stealing stuff from them like components I guess. Master high-tails it toRenFair 13th century England, and uses K to insert monkey-wrench into Magna Carta as part of grand design to create cosmic chaos which he would rule over somehow. He's following Sutekh's master plan I think.
K hitches ride with Five, and... Q: Does he stay controlled by the Master all this time? There's a line at the end of Planet of Fire that I can't make out and I must have played it five times, because who needs sleep when you can stay up and drive yourself crazy with things that aren't important in any way shape or form. The Master might be saying that he has controlled K ever since Xeraphass, including all those months he played hide and seek in the Tardis corridors apparently.
Goodness me, I done tuckered myself out. Beyond that one question, I'll just ask in general if jjpor or anyone else can add anything significant (Significant? Did I say that?) or correct anything I've said.
I'm describing K's situation and thoughts while secluding himself in the Tardis someplace. His basic situation between King's Demons and P of Fire is what I'm asking about. Under Master's control? Did I get his past right?
Thanks profoundly to anyone who stayed with this post to the end. You're troupers, each and every one of you.
