Well, if Eccleston could be tempted back, I'd have him too. In fact, I'd have all of the surviving actors back, actually. Sure, some of them don't look as young as they did, but we have onscreen evidence that individual Time Lord incarnations age during their "lifetimes" (The Two Doctors? Timecrash?), so we'd just have to come up with some wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey explanation for why Four and Six, for instance, look older than they should. I'll leave that part to Moffat, of course; he's the one getting paid to do it... ;D

Perhaps an effect of having been brought forward past the time war? A great physical strain, much like aging, that should reverse on the return trip? I think it could work, and really, I think most whovians want it so much we'd buy just about excuse. I could be convinced, easily *hangs disbelief on a hook from ceiling* there.

I think IMForeman (and that's a bit formal; can I just call you IM or something?) Sure, although it could get a bit confusing when using contractions for "I am" or discussing instant messaging. I slightly regret not choosing a more nicknameable username. Wasn't there some explanation given in Time Crash for why Five had aged? Something about both Doctors being there together? I'm a bit conflicted about multi-Doctor specials. Mostly, I think they're ridiculous fan service, but as a fan, I would sort of like ridiculous fan service. *shrug*

So long as it stays a police box, I'm fine with it.

Hmm . . . the copyright on the photo being 2004 makes me think this may have been a contender for the series re-launch. That doesn't mean they won't use it, or something similar, now. It reminds me of the TV Movie version.

Oooh! This makes me squee with artfodder-happy! ^_^
Maybe I just really like stairs. ;D I can see that they haven't changed the walls, though. Not sure if that's a good thing or not, but I'm long past complaining about the NuWho TARDIS colour scheme...
Stairs!

Squeee! So the two-floor TARDIS rumors have been confirmed! Yeah! I'm also not bothered about the similar wall colour: personally, I prefer the wooden and the coral console room designs to the plain white any day. Let's have a bit of colour in our phone box huh? I was hoping for a Jules Verne look, and I think I might have got my wish.
So I'm in my happy place now. Oh yeah!* A slightly clearer picture: i150.photobucket.com/albums/s110/Scootyboy/21st%20October%202009%20Matt%20Smith%20Llanwonno%20Church/DSCF0611a.jpgExamining the clearer picture,I just had a thought... maybe the stairs mean it will be a sunken console room? Like, the character will be walking down them from the outer door every episode? Just a thought...*

Perhaps there's an upper level like a gallery or something?

*I like the stairs; I agree with teeceeoh that it could be some sort of gallery or mezzanine or whatever you call them. I'll confess, I really was hoping for white, with the big old-style roundels, but I guess that was not to be. They don't want to make a completely clean break with Ten, I guess, but I dunno, I expected something more radical. I can live with it though.
I would have loved something like the TVM, though; wood and brass and gothic arches for that Victorian scientific-romance feel. Or failing that, something like what the one in Shalka seems to be; metal rails and rivets and stuff like a submarine control room or something.*

*Looking at it in the bigger pictures, it does look a bit more different from the current one than I at first thought. Bigger, for one thing, and the design of the roundels is different, and that is a sort of gallery around the top. I wonder what they'll use that for? I think it'd be nice if the Doctor had a few bookshelves up there... ;D*
