I hadn't, but now I have, and it makes me want to rewatch all of season four, even the less than good episodes, just for the Donna-content.

Whatever other problems I may have with NuWho (and, to be honest, while I do dearly love a select few stories, that whole Journey's End thing was a massive kick in the teeth to the goodwill I have gradually built up for the new series, one that the Xmas special didn't really make better...), I'd have to say that the whole Donna arc has been one of it's success stories; when I first heard they were bringing Catherine Tate back as a fulltime companion, I cringed, but she grew on me. You proved me wrong about her, at least, RTD; mind you, you also proved me wrong in the things I'd said about you as a writer with Midnight and Turn Left. And then you proved me right again with Journey's End, so let's just call it quits.
Hang on, why am I having imaginary conversations with RTD? That's a little weird even by my standards... I suppose my point is that, as much as I like to moan, there have been occasions when NuWho has got it spot-on right, but in a strange way those occasions are just frustrating, because they serve to highlight all of the other occasions when they got it wrong... Donna's an example; so is the episode "Dalek" that we were discussing lately.

and in other news... THIS www.imeem.com/hollywoodgrrl/video/hjHBCPlX/hollywoodgrrl-dw-vid-boulevard-of-broken-songs-tv-video/video breaks all awesome barriers. I can honestly say that I've never seen a vidder do that before. The closest to it I've seen was maybe that vid Babel did with the three versions of Bohemian Rhapsody (which was removed from youtube, bless their conniving copy-righted little hearts), but I've never seen it attempted on this scale... and the result is more than a little bit impressive. I don't even like all of these songs yet I want this on my (non-existent) i-pod.

I can't put words to that video. I haven't been able to see professionals pull that one off.
and when I mean professionals I mean editors who are paid to edit, and the people who makes those fanvideos for the Oscers.

I really liked those videos, but I have a Donna video that I like even better, mainly because the song is perfect. Warning, it does use very fast cutting, but it works for me as representing thoughts. Be sure to read the description, because thebigbluemeany describes the concept well, and gives a tribute to Wilf, the best Grandpa ever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmdLN0N7AKY

Agreed. I love how the memories have more color than her mundane reality. Now, for the most lolarious Donna video ever, I recommend this video: chayiana.livejournal.com/10788.html

This one is posted on our Doctor Who Live site, in the fanvid loop that runs all the time. There are some good vids running.

Here's a Donna vid I found very well put together. I actually really like that vidder.
