Anyone up for some trivia? I hope so, because I went to a lot of trouble for you guys. Just guess what these things have in common. I'm sure you know the gist. The Chase, The Enemy of the World, Meglos, Arc of Infinity, Journey's End The Celestial Toymaker, The Keeper of Traken, Snakedance, Army of Ghosts Spearhead in Space, the TV movie, Dalek, Journey's End The Chase, The Evil of the Daleks, Remembrance of the Daleks (no, it doesn't have to do with Daleks!) Dalek, The Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel, Human Nature/Family of Blood, Blink Feel free to add your own, although try and be prudent that we don't get too many at once.

The only one I can decipher is the first, and you missed the Android Invasion on the list Oh, yeah, that's right. Well, it's quite a common theme, isn't it? You might as well say what it is. White out the answer if you don't want to give it away for other people.

* duplicate!Docs, though most of these are evil duplicates except for in JE... random evil duplicate shanannigans is such a cliche; but it is a cliche I love.
Especially Arc of Infinity... PD looked GOOD in that black sweater *nods*

Ooh, I just figured out the answer to the last one! They're all adaptations. Dalek is from Jubilee, Rise of the Cybermen is from...Spare Parts, I think, Human Nature is from the 7th Doctor novel of the same name, and Blink was originally a short Doctor Who Magazine story.
Additionally, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the creators of the originals were all involved in writing the episode versions.

I thought of the middle one, and I'm not sure what the fact that I figured this out so quickly says about me. Unexpected Naked Doctor!
Here's a new one to figure out, since there are only two left to solve:
The Gunfighters, The Chase, Planet of Fire, Delta and the Bannermen, Dalek, Daleks in Manhatan/Evolution of the Daleks

I think I know what "Spearhead in Space, the TV movie, Dalek, Journey's End" is - like Lynda (I think it's the one you were talking about) I twigged to it immediately, but am keeping quiet in case you get quite the wrong idea about me. ;D As for: The Gunfighters, The Chase, Planet of Fire, Delta and the Bannermen, Dalek, Daleks in Manhatan/Evolution of the Daleks Could it be; * they all feature American characters or, at any rate, British actors doing bad American accents?*

I just realised in a flash of frightful understanding what the link is. ... this brings back all of the scarring memories of the 70s Pron Colin thread

But I do apologize for any painful flashbacks, I'm just going to go ahead and give hints for the other two. This one is particularly difficult. Even if you had just watched all these stories recently you wouldn't be able to get it without some backstory. You would be better served going to someplace like Wikipedia, looking at various names of the actors in them, and then guessing what they have in common. Although, Army of Ghosts is slightly pointless since it's a very small role. He had a larger role in The Pirate Planet. It's something that has made it quite difficult for commercial release of these stories.

I could be utterly off the mark here but do they all contain Beetles music??

No, not off the mark at all. That's correct.
Does anyone want to come up with a new one?

I know what the Toymaker/Traken/Snakedance/Ghosts one is, but only because of the clue and a quick Google, so it probably doesn't count:
*I knew Michael Gough was once married to Anneke Wills who played Polly, but I didn't know Louise Jameson's longterm partner David Warwick was in Army of Ghosts, so I'm guessing they all feature actors who were married/lived with actresses who played companions? In fact, wasn't the guy who played Decaying!Master in Traken married to Liz Shaw? Dunno about Snakedance.*
Another one (maybe too easy):
The Sea Devils/The Androids of Tara/The King's Demons/The Christmas Invasion

I would be slightly frightened if someone had been able to get it without any help. * Snakedance featured Brian Miller, married to Lis Sladen. Sea Devils/The Androids of Tara/The King's Demons/The Christmas Invasion * Sword fights! How about Destiny of the Daleks, Ghost Light, The Christmas Invasion?
