Okay, I'll white it out for anyone who still wants to guess. Hope it wasn't too obscure (everyone can probably think of other examples to add to the list):
*They all feature characters played by actors who played different characters in other Who stories:
Celestial Toymaker - Michael Gough and his evil scary eyebrows are the Toymaker also plays Councillor Hedin in Arc of Infinity
The Daleks' Master Plan - take your pick; Nick Courtney is Bret Vyon as well as being the Brig in, well...lots of stories. Alternatively, Jean Marsh who plays Sara Kingdom was later Morgaine in Battlefield, but had already been Richard I's sister Joanna in The Crusade
Inferno - unless you count Courtney, I was thinking of Christopher Benjamin, who not only plays Sir Keith Gold here but would later be the inimitably ingenious impresario Henry Gordon Jago in Talons of Weng-Chiang and recently cropped up as Colonel Hugh in The Unicorn and the Wasp
Arc of Infinity - in addition to the aforementioned Mr Gough, we have, in the role of Commander Maxil, an obscure actor called Colin Baker who went on to play...some character or other in some other story...
The Unquiet Dead - the maid Gwyneth is played by Eve Myles who went on to be Gwen Cooper in the horror that is Torchwood and, more to the point, appeared as such in The Stolen Earth/Journey's End*
As I say, may be a slight cheat as these are not the only examples, and I'm sure you can think of more.

Oh, of course! Should have gotten that.
Still interested in playing? Paradise Towers, The Invasion of Time, Midnight.
I'm not sure if this one's complete, there may be other instances: The Dalek Invasion of Earth, Galaxy 4, The Android Invasion, The Visitation, The Five Doctors.

Hmm, when I saw the first three I was going to say: * they all have swimming pools in them* But when I saw the others, I thought that can't be right... Hmmm, let me think on this one...

Oh, sorry! Those are two separate ones and you got the first one right.

Excellent! ;D Still thinking on the second lot...hmm, seems too obvious, but:
*They all have androids in them?! Do Robomen count as androids? Probably not.*
Nah, I think it's more subtle than that...

No, afraid not. It's something to do with the companions.

Errr.... I've a feeling I'm going to kick myself when I do find out what it is - still pondering for the moment...

Um... all I can think of is that they all have cases of mistaken identity - whether via android duplicate, mind control or things just not being what they seem. But that might be too vague...or too common in DW to really qualify.

Nope, that's not it either.

All right, here's the answer:
All of them involve a companion twisting an ankle. Are there any more instances? It feels like there should be but that might be one of those misconceptions that non-fans have...

Haha - I should have got that! I think it's a bit like "reversing the polarity of the neutron flow" or Daleks foiled by stairs - something talked about far more than it actually happened.
Okay, what about (you'll get this one):
The Android Invasion/The Seeds of Doom/Aliens of London/The Sontaran Stratagem

Ha, I just found this thread by accident while searching for something else. Little newbie me, bless. Anyway, we should try this again! Especially now that we have new stories to play with. Although I do like the idea of ending this thread with how clever I am... Have a go at these three: The Invasion, Shada, The Empty Child, Human Nature The Evil of the Daleks, Pyramids of Mars, Silver Nemesis, The Big Bang, A Christmas Carol Father's Day, The Runaway Bride, The End of Time pt. 2, The Big Bang

Well that last one is easy - they contain weddings! I'll have to give more thought to the other ones.
I completely forgot about this game. ;D And it's so fun too!

The Evil of the Daleks, Pyramids of Mars, Silver Nemesis, The Big Bang, A Christmas Carol - all feature characters in fezzes?
I feel like I should know the answer to the first lot of stories too - it's on the tip of my tongue, metaphorically speaking, but...can't quite place it...

Yup and yup.
(I don't actually remember the fez-having in Evil of the Daleks, but TARDIS Wiki assures me it's there, so...)
