Newton is reading Othello for her English class. Her teacher is a smart one and she too will be treated well.
I love the book Othello. Othello reminds me of The Doctor. The goodie to-shoe he is. The good guy who over time has ruined my life.
If you read the book, you will know that I relate best with Iago. The man who is out to get Othello. Not only has Othello denied Iago the best promotion, he slept with his wife!
The Doctor has denied me from happiness of the world leader and he befriended my wife!

So... if you want to kill the doctor so bad, why don't you just slip an aspirin in his drink? He'd never know.

You don't understand regeneration, Mel. It's a lottery, and I've drawn the short plank.

Um... well, I can see the similarities. Othello being a dandy and all... Book spolers: I thought Othello dies in the end, doesn't he? If this is as prophetic as it seems... then I fear for the good Doctor.

Well I did know before reading the book that the book is more about the bad guy even though the name is of the good guy and that the bad guy wins the book. I should have put the two and two together. >_-

it's funny you relate with Iago Master... www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmYNwvxzSb0 I love this clip so very much. I would KILL to get this on DVD, or online, or anything... I WANT TO SEE THIS! I MUST SEE THIS!!!! anyways, the verison of Othello they had us watch in my high school English after we'd finished reading the lay wasn't half that awesome (though Chris did pop up in several school movies that year, much to my amusement).

I wish we were watching this one instead of the one with the guy from Matrix as Othello.

Who wants to help me with my Othello homework? (most likely no one).
Iago claims he is not a villein because if people choose to listen to him, accept this advice and act on it, that's their choice and their business. Do you agree or disagree with him? Link this to the outcome of the play.
i want to disagree with him, yet he makes a good argument. I say he does know how each person would react to the lie He lies for his benefit, if one lie doesn't work, he starts another lie. almost everyone dies because they took his advice that in a way, pressured on. I am not asking you to my homework, but a little brain storming helps.
Also, if you have any arguments for Iago side, I would like to hear them. I mean Iago never told Othello to kill his wife, right?
if you have arguments that agree
