Crap, this is the clown one.
That’s bloody creepy.
Washington.
That’s rather a big laptop.
Like omg, not people moving in!
Aw, poor Luke is angsting.
Clyde, now you’re going to make Sarah search their house.
Dude, the blood clown…
Grr, you come here to learn.
OMFG, the clown is creepy.
OH, HE’S HER DAD. I totally remember reading that from something I read.
=DDDDDDD OMG, MINA ANWAR. The squee. It is unbearable. I need to go watch some Thin Blue Line after this.
She totally does not talk like Constable Habib. But she hasn’t changed at all in ten years!
She should be named Maggie.
xD That’s completely inconspicuous. A whirring watch.
She didn’t fuss when the Doctor only called her Sarah. Heck, I usually only call her Sarah.
I’m not strange. Just different.
OMG. Clyde, seriously. That’s, like, assault.
Aw, I don’t think Sarah (Jane) is fond of… Er, I don’t know her name. I’ll just call her Maggie. ‘Cos I’m that obsessive.
Dude, the clown!
Let’s run toward a bloody creepy clown.
xD Mr Thick Thick Thickety Thickface from Thicktown, Thickania!
Just pop up out of nowhere like that.
It’s ‘Maggie’!
See?! Everyone hates clowns!
Lol, Clyde fancies her.
Bloody clown…
He’s a bloody Carnie.
Peer pressure!
Well, crap.
AUTONS! Y/Y?
Deadlock—never mind…
…Did he say hobnob? Or can I not hear right? Edit: OH! Odd bob. Still sounds like hobnob.
Well. That’s creepy.

THAT WAS BLOODY CREEPY!!! OMG! GOOSEBUMPS! *shudders*
Seriously... that's one of the creepiest things I've seen in a LONG time. me thinks a lot of kids are going to be getting nightmares over this (m too probably...)
I can't wait for next week!
I totally sympathies with Sarah-Jane. I *hate* it when people shorten my name to Sarah, but I've got tired of correcting people so... O.o Though... if the Doctor wanted to shorten my name... XD

Why? Is your name Sarah-Jane?

But in the Classic series Sarah (Jane) was predominately called Sarah. Occasionally Sarah Jane. But she didn't mind at all then.

Unlike Ace and, it would seem, Sarah Jane, I don't personally find clowns to be inherently creepy or sinister. Evil Clowns, on the other hand...with horrible yellow teeth...and balloons... Mind you, I find circus ringmaster types with waxed moustaches as creepy as all get out, for some reason... This was actually really disturbing, actually, with its half-seen appearing/disappearing clown and the nasty allusions to real-life dangers to children. I think it fell down a bit in the last part, with the unscary Auton/clown/zombie things, and I didn't really buy Sarah's alleged colourophobia, or whatever it's called. I too wondered what was up with the Sarah JANE thing, 'cos I'm sure Three and Four used to call her Sarah all the time and she never said anything. I suppose they were special, though. Still, Lis Sladen and the two lads continue to be very good, and I like the new characters. Mr Chandra seems like the sort of teacher that the kids will make fun of unmercifully behind his back. And Constable Habib! And Bradley Walsh, former footballer, alleged comedian, 1990s gameshow host (and I think he was in Coronation Street for a while too) is the last person you'd expect to see showing up as a spooky Evil Clown, so I was amused by that.

Happy SJA Day! =D Part Two!
Oh, crap. Scary Clown Episode.
NO! The fire extinguisher /always/ works… D=
Dude, talk about bad teeth.
Aww, poor little!Sarah.
xD It’s all the phone’s fault.
Pft, She totally worded it in a way that would make anyone want to come help.
Aww, the picture!
xD Saving the Earth is a hobby.
Hee. Luke’s keeping score.
Lol at Mr Smith’s theme music.
I want a talking computer in my wall.
xD Odd Bob.
Well, bugger. That place.
Odd Bob just sounds funny.
I think Constable Habib would believe her.
Dude, clowns /are/ bloody scary.
OMG FLASHBACK TIME.
AWWWW. I’m gonna cry now.
This just makes me want to watch more Thin Blue Line.
xD OMFG, her mum can’t even get through the forcefield?
Aw, I’d feel horrible if I accidentally had my mum walk into a brick wall. …
Well, bugger.
What happened at the Pharos Institute again…?
Lol, it looks fake.
I think I’d notice that much going poof.
Odd Bob (lol)’s accent bothers me.
This episode is bloody scary. D=
OMG, IT’S LIKE THE CREEPY GIRL WTH THE BALLOON IN …THAT DW EPISODE I—HUMAN NATURE.
The campus is just wide open? Wow.
Take the balloons away from them…
Lol, phone a friend.
Who woulda thunk mobile phones would do such good.
No, this episode is scary enough as it is…
Well, crap.
She needs to face her fear. Much like Three in Planet of the Spiders. …Well, crap, he dies in that.
IT’S THE EVIL LAUGH FROM BOWSER’S CASTLE IN MARIO GAMES. (I’m such a geek.)
A bloody hall of mirrors? That’s stupid.
Is Odd Bob (lol), like, from Texas or something?
Aw, Clyde is all awesome.
Your pocket is glowing.
Yay, saving of the day. Rejoice.
…So I got nothing of the plot from the preview for the next episode.

Odd Bob's accent simultaneously made me laugh and shudder. It's so horribly bad... but he's so damn CREEPY too.
Clyde is awesome win.
Okay, question, is it just me or was the Back to the Future theme playing in the background when Sarah-Jane smashed the mirrors?

Er, I didn't take note of it... Me neither, sorry... Odd Bob - like Oddjob, but without the hat or the golfball-crushing thing... Has anyone seen the TV version of Stephen King's "IT"? Because I bet the SJA production team have. Let's let them off and think of it as an "'omage". Actually, this whole thing did have moments of genuine creepiness alternating with head-scratching stuff like, well, Clyde managing to defeat a centuries-old fear-sucking monster by telling some lame jokes to an audience of, well, two other people. But then, I suppose that was sort of the point; Bob/Spellman/whatever was just a weak bully in the end, powerless against anyone who didn't buy his tired old killer clown shtick. Some of the comments about missing kids gave me a very creepy feeling indeed, as close at it touches to real life horrors, so hats off to them all for that. And those were some spectacularly horrific teeth - not even mine are that bad, and I love dentists the way Sarah Jane loves clowns. Other thoughts: I thought it was funny that Clocket mentioned her Coronation Street aversion therapy on another thread (I had no idea anyone outside UK knew what "Corrie" was), because, as I mentioned last week, Bradley Walsh who plays Odd Bob used to be in it. And another reason to hate Corrie; during the McCoy era, the BBC brass started deliberately running Who against it on a Wednesday night, knowing that it would get beaten in the ratings so that they'd have an excuse to cancel it. Ah, good old Floella Benjamin (Professor whatshername at the whatsitcalled Institute) - when I was a nipper, she used to present the legendary kids' show Play School (another of the presenters, Chloe Ashcroft, was in Resurrection of the Daleks, but don't hold that against her!) I too was baffled by next week's trailer - however, I don't know if anyone knows who that bald old bloke is, but it's only Russ Abbot! Talk about another blast from the 80s - time was when this guy was just about the most famous comedian/humorous singer/indeterminate sort of entertainer on Brit TV. He's from Chester, which isn't far from where I am, and my mum used to see his act all the time back in the 60s and 70s when he used to play the clubs in town with a band called The Black Abbots. I digress.... Back On Topic: SJA was OK this week!

You know, I was thinking of "It" as well. Scary clowns must be a common thing this month.

"It" was the first REAL horror movie I saw on my own... and Odd Bob reminded me of It.
As for the Sara 'Jane' thing, I think that the writers needed some thing that was sorta funny to balance out the scary clowns.

Man, this was one creepy story. I've never liked clowns, and this made me fear them even more.
Rani was cool, though. When Maria said she was leaving I was afraid they'd be adding that Lucy girl from the previous story. Who wasn't all that bad, really, but Rani's better. And she has fun parents.
I'm trying to decide if I should just watch one two-part story per week and slowly but surely catch up, or watch as fast as possible and be caught up with anyone else. I kind of like not having to wait on cliffhangers being resolved, but I feel like I'm missing all the conversation.

This episode freaked me out so much that... I decided to watch three more episodes to clear it out of my head. Which worked out all right as far as being able to sleep, but I still had some freaky incidents with balloons in my dreams the night after. Actually, I kind of sped through the entire season in two or three days on Google Video. Where would I be without it? The US just doesn't broadcast enough of the good stuff. I will second or third any comments referring to Clyde's awesomeness in this ep. The clown thing itself probably wouldn't disturb me so much (and I love how they tied it to the Pied Piper legend) except for Sarah's flashbacks and that nasty laugh. Ugh. I hate that laugh so much. Did anyone else think it was kind of dumb how long they took to get out of the "disabled" clown dummies, though? Luke and Sarah Jane were already at the door, while Clyde and Rani are just moseying on through like "Hm. This is interesting. Never mind that they could activate again at any moment. Let's stand here and talk about it."

I agree with the old Autonish dummy things. Rani! Get moving! No I feel like standing here and staring at them. Hmm... how nice. Evil dummies who are trying to kill me. Hmmm.... Oh I suppose I should be moving on. Oh, look! Clyde is gone I think I'll follow.
I miss having Maria there. Poor Luke. =( And her dad was really amazing. Just like her. The beginning is really sad when he's reading the email from her. ='(
The clown in this episode creeped me out. I've always been creeped out with clowns and so when the clown is more than just a clown but an evil shape-shifting clown who feeds off of fear, I REALLY get creeped out. 0_0
