I would save the world for five dollars, but it would have to be cash and up front. If you're gonna eat five dollars... I dunno... I'd save the world just because... this is my home world. It would be kinda traitorous not to. But then again, that's just me. People like Newton could probably care less.

I would indeed save the planet Earth if I could get a muffin out if it.

It is a very wide fence I hope...? Otherwise that could be uncomfortable.

It only really hurts if it's one of those fences with the spear-type protrusions on the top: As opposed to: Back on topic, Tom Baker as the Master? Awesome! He could have had a Tissue Compression Eliminator disguised as a giant jelly baby.

Now, that second one looks like a comfortable fence; I could sit on that all day. ;D

My friend and I don't like the new master. This is what he says about the master F says: he doesn't need flying electric powers he's smart and manipulative much more dangerous then flying powers
Thank You F, Thank you.

I maybe I'm alone in thinking this, but there was something reminiscent of the past Masters in the Master from EoT, especially in his speeches.
I felt like I could shut my eyes and actually imagine it was Delgado or Ainley giving those deeply insane and determine rants. I feel this story does a better job representing him than series 3.
Also, I have an inquiry. Does anyone else think that there may actually be something in the Master's head that is causing the drumming? Maybe the Time Lords or a Time Lord put something in there when he was recreated during the Time War... for the events that are now happening in EoT?
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Time Lord version of Dalek Caan might have set something up... perhaps to double cross the supposed Time Lord President?? What do you guys and girls think?

More thoughts . . . I should have had more to drink NYE, then I wouldn't be thinking so much this morning. ** I also think that a truly renegade Time Lord (my vote would be for President 007) did actually put something in his head. Perhaps a control device, to ensure that he would help resurrect Gallifrey if the Doctor succeeded in destroying it. If you remember, restoring Gallifrey was his main goal in SoD/LotTL. I kinda like the thought that the reason the Master went so far around the bend is external, rather than just him being an unrelentingly evil guy. Maybe I just like Delgado, Ainley and Simm too much. Not to mention cuddly old Jacobi, who showed what he could be like if he used his amazing brain for good.**

Speaking of Delgado, I was dropping off my kids at school this morning and on my way out of the parking lot I glanced in the rear-view mirror to find the Master driving the little beeper-car behind me. 0.0
Okay, maybe it wasn't the Ghost of Roger Delgado, but it could have been a distant cousin at least - he even had the appropriately styled slightly-greying hair and beard thing going! Lacked the Original Amazingly Hypnotic Eyes thing and face just slightly rounder but close enough that I did a weird doubletake and went on my way wondering what sort of fic would put the Master in the position of dropping off kids at school while driving a cheap little commuter car.

He had to live with them for a week. If you are a doctor/master shipper Three is stuck on earth and gets a promotion to work with UNIT in the US of A. Three takes the master with "to keep an eye on him", then, they somehow get kids. Much to everyone's surprise, the master takes the "at home mom" role and enjoys it very much while Three finds him self working over time just to stay away from the kids. They have some marriage issues, three and the master break up, master taking the kids while three moves back to Britain, in which he meets Sarah Jane.

Muahahaha. you have joined the dark side of fandom. (now write it up and post it on the Teaspoon, because I actually want to read that) Also, I just read this thread from beginning and got yelled at by my room mate for waking her up with my laughter. Our opinions on whether or not Simm would come back from two years ago are hysterical.

I am not very good at copying already developed characters. That is why I don't write fan fiction. Yet, if I were to write it out, maybe I could have someone help write dialog. Wait, which story did you want me to write? Master babysitting or master becoming a mommy?

I hope you are happy, i started a three moving to the usa fic. Or wait, maybe he should move to Canada, i know Canada better. anyway, i will post it so people can read, edit and comment. That's great! I, for one, will be very excited to read it, Newton. On a somewhat separate note, I've a slight idea that could be made into a Master fic. Please tell me what you think. It might be too off the wall, but it's sort of niggling my brain. It starts with the simple question: What if the Master the Doctor was battling in EoT wasn't the real Master?Obviously, the potion that Lucy threw was suppose to destroy him. It didn't... so what if it did more than not kill him? What if his dying form was more than just Lucy messing with the renewal process? What if instead of simply weakening his life... it caused him to split him into two Masters (both Time Lords but one was incomplete)? The incomplete one was weaker and madder than the other, because he has the connection set up by the Time Lords. The other one, which we don't see, managed to hold on to him more and no longer has that drumming in his head. He might have even regenerated, meaning not even the Doctor would recognize him... at least right way. It would fun to write a POV story of his experiences during EoT and afterward.

I kind of like that splitting concept, because it at least leaves a little bit of a chance for redemption of the character out there somewhere.... I mean redemption from being a robot-skeleton-cannibal with superhero powers, not you know...redemption...
Which made me wonder where they can go with it for Eleven. I can't help but wonder if the escalation max-out (I mean really - where else is there for the Master to go to now? He's so over the top he's bouncing off the ceiling as it is) may mean it is time to hit the 're-set button' and introduce a new "best enemy" that can start at whatever level seems appropriate for Eleven - or even slightly lighter to allow time to darken. Another schoolmate gone wrong? A former teacher perhaps?
Of course, that would be best done with the reintroduction of the Time Lords - not Rassilon's beserk and brief whatever-that-was, but REALLY bringing back the stodgy bureaucratically smothered society of the robe-and-rickrack-wearing Time Lords. My own pet theory would be that Romana took a page out of the Doctor's book and tucked all of Gallifrey away in a little bubble somewhere so it all still exists as it was before the Time War. Maybe like a big TARDIS, you know... go through the little door with the glowing EXIT sign and voila!, Gallifrey!
Hm.
