Right, so first off those Adipose were absolutely adorable. Mildly wrong when they popped out of people's trousers, but very cute.
I don't like the new theme.
The beginning was very nice. Funny. And I was all: what's going on? Which is good at the start. Fast paced too.
But the bit with Donna and her Grampa dragged to the point I was fingering the fast-forward button, but it was generally pretty good. Maybe a bit less sonic would have been nice, but I'm not complaining. The ending was fantastic. I was literally pumping my fist.
Chair lady was just the funniest/saddest thing. I felt so bad for her... except I was laughing to hard for those feelings to stick.
I think I`m in love with Donna:
"To mate??? I am NOT your mate!!!"
and carrying around bags. She`s just made out of awesome win so far. A bit obnoxious, but I like her. Her Mum kind of scares me though.
I loved the miming scene. So funny. And the look of OMG NOT HER! on the Doctor`s face.
When he was alone in the TARDIS talking to no one it was so sad.
And I liked the little touches. With the TARDIS being cold when Donna entered it. Subtle and a nice little half-reference for the crazy fan girls.
The Spoiler at the end wasn't half so bad as I though it would be.
So, over all, it gets 8/10

I liked the story overall, Donna is absolutely brilliant, could be a little less sonic, and I still don't want Rose back. In a nutshell.

Donna is officially amazing now. She was pretty cool in TRAB too, but this gives her official amazing status. She just worked really well with the Doctor, and I liked how she was just going around trying to solve mysteries all on her own. It reminds me of Sarah Jane in School Reunion.
Oh, and I really liked the part where the Doctor talked about Martha. I know I didn't like the way he treated her last season, and the fact that he looked all sad and remorseful about it, like he wanted to apologize to her for what he'd done, did a lot to redeem him in my eyes.
The music they played at the beginning when the Doctor and Donna kept narrowly missing each other was great. Very suited to Donna's character, I thought.
Also, "You're not mating with ME, sunshine!" Absolute <3.
And Donna's mother...wow. No wonder she wanted to escape.

I loved it! This has got to be the best episode I've seen thus far from the new series. What I like best is that the show has gotten away from the emo and back to what made Doctor Who great in the past: adventure, fun, excitement, and humor.
I have to admit after Runaway Bride, I really loved Donna. So I had high hopes for her. After seeing Donna in this, I wasn't dissappointed, I'm happy to say. In fact, I liked her gung-ho attitude. I too was reminded of Sarah Jane. I wonder if she and Sarah Jane will get along when the meet? Well, if they meet.
However, after seeing Rose, which I must say was both a surprised and not to interruptive, I'm also willing to see where her strange and mysterious plot point is going. RTD has intriged me, which isn't a first but it hasn't happened for awhile. I'm very excited to see where next week's episode takes us.
BTW, has anyone else heard the commentary for this episode yet?
The reason I ask is that DT and CT mentioned in it that in the TAXI scene near the beginning after Stacey dies there is something in the scene that hints at something to come. Did anyone seen anything unusal or that stood out?

I was spoiled for the Rose part. I just searched YouTube for the episode and found videos that were like 'OMG ROSE BAK IN PARTNRS IN CRIME!!1121' So, I was rather prepared for it.
Donna is amazingly awesome. I love how she had all her stuff packed and ready to go if she found the Doctor, and then just piled it all on top of him. xD

Someone on LJ posted a rumour that I sincerely hope is true.

That actually sounds like it might be interesting. I've also been hearing rumours that the Master is coming back... dunno if those are true or not. Hmmm...

I actualy quite enjoyed it. I did think that the humans being in danger was The Doctor and Donna's fault or otherwise everyone would have just lost wieght. The Adipose.....wouldn't they make a great cuddly toy? and the appaerance of you know who at the end..hmmm....is she a TARDIS perhaps? I liked how they are setting up plot points...usually I don't get them but I managed to spot a few. and..Donna...they've toned her down..and now I think she'll make a good companion but does anyone else think the theme tune sounds..odd btw. where's than bin? (plans to go get sonic pen) (in this thread timelord.yuku.com/topic/2886?page=1 on timelord they explain a little about some of the tings you've asked about)

I liked Mad Larry's rant. It sums up most of my rants but in a far more elloquent and educated way.

I wasn't as impressed as I might have been. It certainly had its moments, but I found that it was one of the weaker episodes. You're all going to hate me for this, but I don't like Donna. She annoys me. Not always, but a lot more than Martha ever did. She isn't the level of annoyance Rose was, but she doesn't rank among my favourite companions.
My favourite bit was when they come face-to-face with the Nanny.
"Hold on, hold on! One more thing, before dying. Do you know what happens if you hold two identical sonic devices against each other?"
"No."
"Nor me! Let's find out!"
