Pine? Seriously?
What happened, did some mod finally crack when the 8 bazillionth badly written fic went by featuring Ten pining for Rose?

"Pine" is another word that apparently doesn't meet with the 'Spoon's approval. Which would be unfortunate if you wanted to write a story about a lynx in a pine forest, I suppose. pine and lynx are both Unix utilities (pine is a mailer, lynx a web browser). But why that would get stories rejected, I have no idea. I got so curious in the end that I downloaded the latest eFiction source, so now I know where it keeps its list of naughty words. Doesn't help, though, because it's on an administrative page.

Well, I'm glad they're not just completely randomly selected words, because that would just be weird. At least there is a sort-of rationale, however hard it may be to fathom.

Hey, guys. I know it has been a long time. Things got crazy busy and I fell of the face of the Earth, I'm back now. It was quite a trip. I hope to get going on that fanfic again, soon.

Okay, I have struggled and struggled with submitting chapters. If it doesn't work this time, I may take a leaf from the Third Doctor's book and unleash some Venusian Aikido.
That is all.

For those of you still interested, I wrote a short companion piece to "There You'll Be". It's under 500 words and should be available at Teaspoon as soon as it is approved. It features Jo and the Third Doctor and hopefully illustrates my take on their relationship. www.whofic.com/viewuser.php?uid=15706
