I'm actually starting to look this over right now, and I think there are a few places where the tense is a bit iffy. You did intend to write the whole thing in the past tense, yes?
Lol, parky is a new word for me, and my spell check certainly doesn't like brit-speak. XD
And another thing, when I'm done how do you want me to send it back to you. I could just edit the text and email it back if you like. I tend to proofread things in hard copy with lots of pretty colored pens, but some of the things I tend to change are more of a stylistic change and if you want to actually decide for yourself, I can scan the hard copy with notes and let you decide yourself if you want instead. No problem either way.

Either way is fine. Whichever is more comfortable for you. Hmm... Tense errors? That isn't like me. I'll have to give this another look-over.
Parky. Yeah. I'm a novice brit-speaker.. That's how it came out in my head, so I wrote it that way. It seemed like something the Doctor would say.

They're pretty subtle, but I think the teaspoon mods really take issue with them from my experience. So far though, I don't really see anything glaring that would have warranted a rejection. I've made a lot of little edits for style and clarity, but mostly things you'd be OK without changing if you really wanted it the other way. I think I'll send you the scan, since it's your story and I don't ever really feel comfortable just changing the text of someone's work without them easily seeing what. Ummmm... Don't be afraid when you get it, there tends to be a lot of ink all over thing's I've edited, but I swear it's not as much as it looks like!

I've heard that the Teaspoon mods are stricter on grammar and punctuation when they recognize that it's not the posters first time out and that they have a history of good writing -
Though I've also heard that the mods skim read those postings and hit auto-approve because they know they'll be okay -
Oh the mysteriousness of the Teaspoon. It probably depends on the mod. It's also entirely possible that someone just hit the wrong button. Or it could be like that time JJ discovered that the Teaspoon software has a gliche which eats any fic with the word "Jaguar" in it... which was really fairly random.

Jaguar, really? That's bizarre...

Perhaps they don't like "parky"...

Possibly, I man, I thought it was a mistake at first, but decided to look it up online before changing it to clammy or something... If their system is flagging Jaguar, who knows...

I had it eat something that had "lynx" in it... when it was changed to the more generic "wildcat" it went through. What is it about cats and the 'Spoon?
And I'm dearly loving that lovely little Three icon you have going there... *watches it again*

My eye thing made me have to bail out on this story fairly soon, but I LOLed at Three asking if they don't have better things to do than watching him sneeze. Three and Jo are right in character. The word choices for them are very good. I'll try to come back if I can.

OK, I got it done since I only had to put finishing touches on my silversmithing project this morning and thus had loads of down time.

Okay. I haven't seen it in my email, though, so if you sent it, something went wrong. Otherwise, take your time. Like I said, I can't do anything with it just yet. Thanks!

I hadn't sent it yet, but I've just finished having adventures with figuring out how to make pdf's with my scanner, so I'm going to send them now.

Oh, yay, it's here! I'll have to look at it later, though, but it has arrived. Thank you!

Well, it wasn't parky. I tried editing it out and it still didn't go through. Curses.

I had to post the one that turned out to be 'lynx' as the problem in chunks, posting it half at a time to see which half of the story it was, then quarters, then eighths and so on until I narrowed it to the problem paragraph. It's a bit of a bother, but maybe that would work to ferret out what it's choking on.

Good idea. Once I get done with all this blasted schoolwork, I'll do just that.

"Pine" is another word that apparently doesn't meet with the 'Spoon's approval. Which would be unfortunate if you wanted to write a story about a lynx in a pine forest, I suppose.

More and more curious. Hmm... Silver birch trees are okay, though, so they aren't just anti-tree.

I'm glad about that, because I would hesitate ever to be thought of as a supporter of treeism... ;D
