...It's the beetles that've been invading here! xD
(still not finished) I knew that would happen. 'Cos we knew real!Donna was in the fortune-telling place. And yeah.
Now finished. And just when I thought there wasn't going to be a cliffhanger...

How has RTD not been arrested for the use of controlled substances yet? I did a bit of a live list thingy. Commentaries, whatever.
ROSE?!?!?!?!?! WTF?!?!?!?! This isn't even WTH, it's WTF.
Who the hell kills Sarah Jane and friends? Even in a parallel universe?
I'm not surprised Donna didn't listen to Rose at first. I wouldn't.
lolQueen
Rose is the universe's temp Doctor? lol
Donna + beetle time-eater-thingy = funny dance
Torchwood's time machine is a bunch of mirrors and 4" c-stand mounted fresnels. lulz
Let's kill Donna too! Hell, let's just pull a Shakespeare and kill everyone!
In conclusion, this episode was an excuse by RTD to use old footage to make a long episode. [RTD's mind] I don't really have anything to fill all this time, so I'll use the other episodes! Oh, and I need an ending. How about Bad Wolf! Yeah! We never really figured out what that was, so I can use it as the end of the Universe! Oh, and I've had an episode without Donna, now I need to even it out and have an episode without the Doctor. Yup, that'll work. Oh, and then for the finale, we can just bring the whole group back together! Brilliant! To BBC![/RTD's mind]
Srsly, what is he on and why is he being paid?

I didn't think it was that bad. The idea was good, but it was pretty much all filler. And I don't see why Rose had to be the special one. Sarah could easily have taken her place and done just as well (if not better). And why every companion of the New Series (and only the New Series) has to come back, I dunno. But Sarah and Luke should make it Awesome.

That was...a really, really, depressing episode. Why'd they have to mention Martha, Sarah Jane, Luke, Maria, and Clyde by name. Not to mention they killed the Torchwood team, even though I don't really care about them. And then they had the labor camps, and that poor Italian family hugging each other and crying and...I almost couldn't finish watching it, it was too sad. And then at the end...what's up with the Bad Wolf again?
Trailer, though. Martha! Rose! Sarah Jane! Luke! Jack! And those Torchwood people again, didn't RTD say the two shows would never cross? Oh well, I guess if they bring Luke, they can be excused for bringing Torchwood too. Oh, and I heard Davros! That was unmistakably a Davros laugh. And a red Dalek. I've been avoiding spoilers these past few weeks, so those came as a surprise to me. What in the world is up with them?

temp=time She could turn out to be a time lady lol I thought it was UNIT/Torchwood. And it reminded me of the time machine from the film 'Timeline'. it was a bit over the top...its like saying no one else could take over the job. (and if it was all causality wouldn't the present day be changed because the doc had never gone back with donna to pompeii? and why aren't the reapers around sorting out the mess? yeah..how are they all going to get a fair bit of screen time? unless RTD decides to kill them all again right at the begining. was it judoon I spotted in the next time trailer?

Oooo. I haven't seen it yet. I've been trying to decide if I should bother, or if I shoul just stop watching the show until Moffat takes charge. I think I might. It'll probably be less painful that way. Except, now I'm concerned about Moffat as well. Because it was apparently his idea that Jenny should live. And River Song. *craddles head*

I liked Turn Left a lot actually...I felt Rose ws much more serious and accepting of what was going on.

Wow ;D
That was surprising.
I was all set up to hate that episode, and then it actually turned out to be not bad. Fancy that. Catherine Tate is an amazing actress. My love for Donna grows and grows. As does my love for her Gramps, and that Italian man they shared their resettlement flat with.
Queen = LOVE
The bug (yeah! not the spider I was expecting!) was well explained, and creepy. It's kind of like the Trickster from the SJA, or the Weeping Angels. These Time Thieves seem to be having a field day in the Time War's aftermath. Or something.
Rose was... well, she was. And she wasn't as god-awful as I'd expected so I'll allow her her come back. As long as she stays in the background and doesn't try to displace Donna.
I *heart* the mirror time machine which was so completely stolen from Time of the Daleks it hurts. But I always wanted to see what it would look like on screen so SQUEEE!!
And the random Asian lady (I have no idea why she had a time bug but whatever) when she was shrieking at Donna all I could think is: Donna is Romana. You heard it here first. And Rose said that Donna is special. OKAY so I know my theory is random and crazy but I've been nurturing it since before the season began and nothing has dissuaded me yet.
My only qualm with the episode is 1. they killed SJ. NOOOO! Not allowed! Even if you are going to bring her right back! 2. Didn't SJ save the world from an asteroid at some point? Was that before or after season 3 because my multi-spin-off chronologies are muddled. And yeah, the Pompeii thing. Whatever. Plot hole. Wizard did it. And 3. most important of all, though I enjoyed the episode whenever I see this much continuity used at once I can't help but feel that the show is alienating its casual viewers. As a non-casual viewer I don't mind so much, but as someone who wants to show to keep going and not paint itself into a corner... yes.
Anyway, good episode. Surprisingly good. I had the wine on stand-by but I didn't reach for it once (yes, I'm aware how dysfunctional that is)
Now here's my fingers crossed that Torchwood and Rose and DALEKS (seriously, can't we go one season without them??) won't combine to rooster everything up.
And I don't want Donna to leave the TARDIS. I know Tate is only signed on for the one season, but I hope she comes back for more. And I really, really, REALLY hope that Rose doesn't come back for good. That would just kill it.

I really liked the episode. I REALLY liked it and hyped about the next two. I like how RTD made Donna VERY important and not Rose. I like seeing the what if, I liked how one choice can really change not ones life but the whole world. I LOVED THIS EPISODE.
I also like RTD and daleks.
I'm going to stay a way from this place (and the Doctor Who community on Lj) for the next couple of weeks. I have a feeling by reading what peoples comments are just going to ruin the final for me. (It's not you guys, it's me. When people bash something I really like I just end up feeling like [expletive deleted]. I know it's your opinion and you're entitled to expressing them. I just don't want to read it)

You know, thinking about it, Turn Left is really just A Wonderful Life done Doctor Who style. Which doesn't detract from its fantasticness one bit.
To Newton, I'll miss you, and hopefully the finale will be as surprising and good as Turn Left - in which case you won't have to wade through any of my electronic rants. Which you should probably disregard completely anyways since most of them are cooked up in fits of silliness between me and my room mate.
Actually, if you want, I'll promise to keep any negetive words to myself for the next month so that you don't have to go away.
*puppy dog eyes*
I'm sorry if I've made you feel bad during any of my rants.

You're rants don't bother me at all. But the way some other people are acting (won't name who) and the way I've seen the people act on the Doctor Who community on lj I want to stay clear for a bit. I'm going to pop by every so often but just ingore the posts about the next two epsiodes. Unless someone wants to make comments in the cbox.

I still liked the episode. It just did seem like a lot of filler. We didn't need to see every single thing that changed. And that also led to us thinking more on plot holes.
Doctor Who on LJ is just insane. I'm gone for a few hours and the posts are just pouring in, especially now with the finale. I have to go back at least three pages to catch up, and I even skip most of it 'cos it's episode reviews.
As for the finale, (I think below might have actually been shown in the trailer, but I'm not sure) SPOILERS, SPOILERS, DO NOT BLOODY HIGHLIGHT BELOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE (possibly) BIGGEST (and probably worst-kept) SECRET OF THE FINALE! Davros is definitely returning. But he has a funny metal-like hand that's kind of not as cool and gross as before. Still dunno what's with the left hand, though.

he's luigi in Ashes to Ashes The Doctor did say the bug was 'one of the tricksters brigade' I would have liked to see the world the same but slightly different...so you can see its been affected that she turns left not by choice but because of the accident.
