Dances around. I FINALLY saw it, and now I know what you were talking about. Excellent. Pure amazing. I seriously wanted to hug John Smith at the end.
And the sketchbook (I really want to examine it on pause), the page with all of the Doctors on it – there's no more pretending that the New Who is a remake. It clearly isn't. Not after School Reunion and not after this. So I'm going to keep on calling this season 29 (which makes next year season 30 AND the 45th anniversary *crosses fingers that they do something special*).
And then there was that creepy red-balloon girl. Am I crazy, or was she the girl from Remembrance of the Daleks? Seriously, I'm certain the little boy with the watch said that he'd seen her with the Daleks, and she was humming the doctor's at the gate song… wasn't she? Argh, I think I'm nuts. Anyway, she's creepy.
And Martha was a LOT less annoying in this episode, though she still has her constant crushing on the Doctor thing, but who DOESN'T crush on DT? At least he isn't flirting back.
The life that the Doctor could never have was totally tear-jerking, as was DT's entire performance. A great change from the shouting and I'm-angry-grimaces he does in other episodes in lue of acting. The ending was chilling. Ten is really becoming a second Seven (wow, lots of numbers, oh, and now that I've watched more season three his Scottish accent DOES come through more. He's practically using it more than the Cockney in the Lazarus Experiment.) Martha isn't really an Ace though, well, maybe, she WAS less annoying this time round.
The first part of season three (what I've seen of it) was a bit crappy, but this and BLINK totally make up. And the Master coming back! I soooooooooo want to see that episode. *dances* He'd better have a goatee or I'll smack the television.
