I honestly have no idea where this should go. It's technically a fan-video as Mr Ferguson is a fan, and this is a video, but the end of the open makes me think maybe it goes in the Doctor files, yet the gleeful chaos - well, how does one classify the unclassifiable? geeksofdoom.com/2011/01/07/craig-fergusons-doctor-who-musical-finally-airs/Backstory is on the article itself, tl;dr is that apparently it's very difficult to get the rights for the theme song, but puppets make it worthwhile. There's also a lovely (and racy!) interview with Alex Kingston. Slight spoilers in that, maybe? Just says where they filmed the first couple episodes. Anyway, the musical! Great stuff!

LM, thanks so much for this link! I watched the DW special way back in November and wondered about this ever since, also, dang it I missed Alex Kingston! (also Alex oughtn't to be allowed to dress herself)

;D ;D ;D I love that song so much. It's been stuck in my head since it leaked to the Internet... I'm trying to figure out how to separate the music from the video track because I want it on my MP3 player. Heh. And then there's... well, this started with Newton trying to make me animate thingies while not entirely sober, which predictably didn't work that well. And then there was a contest based on the song on LJ and I was all bitter because I'm in the wrong country to enter the WhereistheTARDIS contest, and then I had a dream where I was animating thingies and thought "I wonder if that would actually work..." Anyway... i143.photobucket.com/albums/r151/classrule/IntellectandRomance.gif(incidentally, it's really hard to draw Eleven's screwdriver without it looking like a demented carrot)

It does seem like justice has finally been enacted in that it was broadcast at last!
Clocket, you are my hero. I will shout it from the mountaintops. ;D (Also, I was planning a rip of the song for myself; I can't guarantee the quality, but I'd be happy to share.)

CP! What awesomeness!!! But it (the sonic) looks more like celery and a giraffe had a baby than a demented carrot. But that, duck, was EPIC

Leamichelle thank you so much for posting the link! I knew Alex was going to be on, but I have to get up too early to stay up that late very often.
Clocket I loved your animation!

Clocket, that made my week! And it's only Monday! ;D Mind you, I liked the song too. I think it sums up some aspect of Doctor Who anyway. Down with brute force and cynicism! You know I was saying the last time Craig Ferguson came up that I had no idea who he was, despite him being British? And that he must have done something over here before he went over there, but I knew not what? Well, turns out he was in Red Dwarf, not that I would have made the connection myself, because it was only a one-episode role in one of the early episodes. Still: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ7omNSt5T0
