After being so accustomed to the ultimatum of or, the unique experience of being offered the two non-exclusively makes for a treat.
In any case, I've done a bit of stalking, and I'm pleased to find myself in like-minded company. The internet is terrifying and beautiful, much like a black hole; I have a tendency to lurk (as one does - albeit not too closely - around black holes, for fear of turning out like Stephen Hawking's astronaut, all stretched out like spaghetti by the distortion of time and reality, if I may add the last part to complete the metaphor). I enjoy abiding by rules that are friendly and fair, however, so this is me waving a tentacle. Hello! You'll never be rid of me.
I have two cats, study maths, eat lots of sunflower seeds, and am continually obsessing over one thing or another. Came into the Whoniverse far too late for my liking (at Nine), and while it's often an eleven-dimensional tug-of-war depending on the circumstances and what I've had for breakfast, Four often wins out for me.
That's about it, really. Nice to meet you all!

Hillo! I am Newton. Nice to meet you. Welcome, feel free to jump in and chat in new threads, old threads, not yet created threads. We don't bite.

Hello, hello! Very pleased to make your acquaintance - welcome aboard! Don't touch the buttons on the left... watch out for that last step there, it's a doozy... the food fabrication machines have been on the blink of late, only producing zero-calorie virtual cake it seems.... Glad to have you!

Newton - Thank you, I shall!
primsong - Zero-calorie virtual cake sounds ghastly, especially after pressing the wrong buttons and falling down steps. Thank you for the warning and warm welcome!

You mean you've been spying on us?!?! What a dastardly sneaky one you are! ;D I see that your lurking has paid off though because you've brought cake which is the traditional greeting method. Don't be concerned if a naked Ten pops out of it by and by (that's also traditional). Though, Eleven's been doing his share of cake lurking recently...
It's good to meet you! *shakes a tentacle* I'm your sometimes-doing-her-job-but-mostly-just-along-for-the-rid mod Clocket. I have three kitties who I don't get to live with any more (but one of them is on my foot at the moment so that's okay). I got into the game with Nine as well. Like you I'm often pulled into an eleven way draw, but these days the draw tends to lean towards the new kid on the block and seven.
I hope you enjoy your time here! Like Newton says; we don't bite.

"Concerned" is not exactly the word I would use regarding the presence of a naked Ten covered in cake (which reminds me, that's how I found this board to begin with - JJPOR's fic of the same subject; I told you I was a terrible stalker, but I do mean well), rather I would choose something along the lines of "enraptured" or "delighted". If I had an Eleven!cake, I would be the happiest girl in the universe. Seven is a lovely paradox. Although, I just finished Lungbarrow and I must admit there were times when I wanted to throttle him. Ah well. Such is the human reaction to the Doctor, regardless of incarnation. At any rate, please say hello to your kitties for me when you can, and thank you very much for the warm greetings. Oh - and merry Christmas!

Welcome to DbyA! As a fellow lurker type person, I understand the need to thoroughly investigate a place and watch from a safe distance before joining, but I'm glad that you decided to join and stop being a creeper (I mean that in the nicest way, of course).
Anyway, if you've been stalking us long enough, you may possibly know about DW Live or you may not. It's a weekly chat where we watch a Doctor Who story together - more details are in the Announcements forum, let me know if that was an entirely useless description. We're always happy for new people to join the party. [/shamelessplug] And merry Christmas!

I did see your announcement post, and have been wanting to see what DW Live is all about for a time. I accept your invitation! It looks like fun. Hopefully, my poor old computer can handle it. (It gets temperamental.)
Merry Christmas to you also! I'm getting by on absolutely no sleep, and for some reason I was entrusted with the knife to chop potatoes and rutabagas. Hope and happy thoughts that I don't inadvertently chop off my hand (because heaven knows I can't grow a new one).

Greetings Leahmichelle, don't feel badly, I found DbA through one of Clocket's stories over @ the Spoon. In fact, MANY of us have joined through the 'Spoon and most of us write there as well, and I bet none of us mind stalkers that read our fics.
You stalked well, I might add. You have found the best little message board on the interwebz. Here, even when we disagree, we respect and like one another enough to maintain decent behaviour, which leads to many a great debate and even more rollicking conversations and an occasional naked ten covered in cake and chained to three...
erm, yeah more on that later...
I adore Seven (he's a sneaky one) and Ten (he's a sociopathic one) and Eleven (he's a bipolar one-one second a wee boy and the next a shouty old man) and Five (he's not so sweet as he looks, that one) but Four holds a special place in my heart as my first Doctor...although the first fifteen minutes of A Christmas Carol sure did a lot to cement Eleven as a dark horse candidate for my favourite...except, really, they are all my favourite in some way or another.
At any rate, I'm Merry (mad as in nutty not angry) and I'd like to echo my cohorts in welcoming you to our little cyber-home. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I have...oh and mind you wear a dust mask while perusing those older threads, there's many a discussion in there worth reviving, but many are thick and chilled with the dust of neglect...can't wait to see you on the boards!

I hesitated to join for a little while out of my own fear of inadequacy, but I'm glad that others share my experience. It isn't easy being the new kid on the block! As a matter of fact, that's one of the reasons I finally did join - you mentioned respecting each other despite disagreements &c, and I found that very cool. It's good to know, good to know. (My mum was with me while I was reading that story, to be honest, and while she read the summary and got wide-eyed by it, she read it with me. Needless to say both of us walked away with a distinct sense of "wtf?" and glorious imagery. It was beautiful. Can't say I haven't thought of just as much in the meantime ... mm. ) I've been listening to the EDA audios recently, also, and while the TVM left a little something to be desired as far as inherent Doctor-ness, the audios make up for that very nicely; he's quickly moving up the ranks. (Like the ranks are anything set in stone). At any rate, thank you for the warm welcome, Merry! I've enjoyed what little participation I've done, and hope to experience much much more.

Welcome leamichelle! I see lots of other people have already welcomed you aboard, so I'll just belatedly add my greetings to the rest. As you can see, we're a friendly bunch here and have Who fans of all sorts of different ages and inclinations. I'm something of a Seven fan myself, mainly because he was the Doctor when I first started loving the series as a fan, back as a wee nipper in the late 80s. Other Doctors I appreciate greatly include Four, Two, and as much as it pains an oldschooler to admit it, the new lad, Eleven. ;D Mind you, I come more and more round to the opinion that there are no Doctors I don't like, even if some are more equal than others in my affections... So once again, welcome!

I thank you for your welcome, jjpor! Especially since it's rather your fault I'm here. Through any course, it's a pleasure to e-meet you, and I agree about Eleven. I reserved any judgment during Ten's regeneration, but that didn't stop me from being a mite wary. Needless to say (though I will anyway), any reservations I had escaped into the vortex. See you around, then!

Glad to have attracted you over here, in that case! ;D Clocket seems to be our primary recruiter, but I may be catching her up a bit... Glad to have you here, anyway - new members are something we always have need of, I think. And yes, Eleven has been a pleasant surprise for me (and a lot of other people, perhaps) - I had a good feeling about him beforehand, from what little I'd seen in terms of spoilers etc, but still he exceeded my expectations... And indeed - I hope to see you about the old place!

Welcome! ^^
I have one lazy kitty myself and I adore 11 eleven and ten about equally, if for different reasons. Lately though I've been loving on five and eight. Stalking is fun isn't it? I did it for about a day before I made an account and made myself known. Do join us for livestream, it's tons of fun. I missed last weeks 'cuz I was at the twins house where we were cooing about how hot 10 was as a physics teacher in school reunion, and so i forgot. But the week before we spent a substantial amount of time debating what kind of hat 11 should really be wearing! XD
