it is possibly the most amazing thing I have ever read on the teaspoon: www.whofic.com/series.php?seriesid=109It stars the alt!webcast Nine and has convinced me that Richard E. Grant should play Doctor 11... granted, I have no idea what he looks like in non-cartoon form so there you go, but this is just awesome (well, I probably know, because the name sounds damnably familar and famous but I've got the memory of a dead goldfish so there you go again). The first four stories are prequels to the webcast (which you can find on the BBC website). The final story is a sequel to the webcast and a conclusion to the fic series. I read this entire series (which is pretty much novel length all together) in under three days. When I watched the webcast at the prompt there was no difference in the quality of the writing, and it actually felt like I was still reading from the author except with pictures instead of words. The dialogue... perfect. I can't recomend this enough. BRILLANTly written. Publishable quality. If Paul Cornell popped out of somewhere and said that he was the author of the fic (he wrote the webcast script) I wouldn't be at all surprised. The first chapter or two of the first story is a bit slow, and it has an OC but don't let that throw you off. This series is made out of awesome win. Go read it!

How 'bout Hugh Grant ... even knowing that's about to happen, it still makes me go ?huh? every time I watch CotFD. and then I laugh at randomness of it all.

I definitely prefered the female Doctor in the end of that. If they do switch gender on the female Doctor... it better be someone like her. Someone funny and not emo.
