The MoD had a UFO hotline and I didn't know about it?? Not that I would have phoned them up with bogus reports of seeing blue boxes in the sky or anything like that. Not at all...
I seem to remember the guy who used to work UFO cases for the MoD becoming some sort of minor celebrity back in the 90s when UFOs etc were very fashionable. He used to appear on TV shows about the paranormal etc, and was always described by presenters etc. as "The British Fox Mulder". I think the reality was more mundane, as these things are; he was literally some guy in an office fielding phone calls without the resources to actually investigate anything.
Obviously, that's because UNIT were doing all the _real_ work... ;D
