I sit at the little-kid table when the mood hits me... though... I think we sold the table itself in a yard sale long ago...

Did you by chance, use to have a blue-and-yellow plastic picnic table? I did.

They're virtually indestructible... Polarity's got hit by a truck and was perfectly fine.

You don't understand regeneration, Mel. It's a lottery, and I've drawn the short plank.

OH! I remember that!!! XD I also remember him running out into the road screaming "IT'S STILL GOOD!" and his mother being very angry with him for not taking care of his things.

It WAS still good. But she insisted that throwing picnic tables into the highway is a bad choice. For some reason.

XD I wish I had a good story like that about our yellow picnic table. Now the question is why did you throw it in the highway? Do you still have it?

We gave ours to our neighbor, 'cause we were too big for it. And she came over just to sit in it, even when we were not home....

I thought I was old. I thought everyone here was a teenager untill I saw Merry's post, and Clocket mentioned that she was in college. Who's the oldest person on here? Um.... probably me now.... I've already crossed into the Dread Forties. How did that happen?

We all need our delusions. it helps us get through the day. For example, I keep telling myself that Nikola Tesla will come back, walk through the doors and solve our energy crisis like we SHOULD HAVE let him do a century ago.

I agree completely. About Nikola Tesla, and about the delusions.

Yeah, Tesla is one of those fascinating, too-easily-forgotten men of history - he should have married J P Morgan's daughter when he had the chance, then he would have had the financial and industrial clout to realise his dreams. We would have had free electricity and atomic death rays by 1920; we'd probably be living in domed cities on Mars by now. Seriously, I didn't realise what a blackhearted villain Thomas Edison was until I read up on his dealings with Tesla.

My golly! I turn away and the thread becomes a discussion about Tesla! I love Tesla! I first discovered his under-lauded genius via my late husband many years ago and have been keenly interested since. Ha ha, leave it you, JJ, to bring Edison into. *plugs and closes eyes* I'm not listening *sings "la la la".

You all make me so happy. I'm thrilled you've all heard of him, moreso know who is is. Morgan Morgan Morgan. That bas***d Morgan is the reason we AREN'T using free wireless electricity or living on Mars. Him and his, "I don't want the whole world milking my cow for free"attitude. Money money money. Humans make me so sad. That's why I watch Who. It sustains my hope for the human race. Tesla was a timelord. No question about it. His other regenerations included Galileo, and Issac Newton. (You think it was just a coincidence that Newton was born the same year Galileo died?) Sigh... COME BACK TESLA! WE NEEEEEEEEEEED YOUUUUUUUU!!!
