Because I've been watching a lot of Seven lately. My room mate's just discovered him, and she seems entranced by the litte man in a pullover and his lucky Ace.
Why is Seven so awesome? I've compiled a short list.
10. Because he put ferrets down his pants during the off-season 9. And remembered to take them out before swimming or fighting Daleks 8. because Red Kangs are the best! 7. The pullover 6. The brolly 5. The accent 4. He plays the spoons 3. He fights NEVIL, NEvil from the Dawn of Time! 2. He has Ace (who should really be getting an awesomeness list of her own) 1. Because he's a dark, scheming little manipulator who is seriously lacking in morals... but he really does care.
All in all. Awesomeness. And love to Dr. Seven, Weaseldownthepantsman.

ROFLMAO! Bugger, I KNEW I was missing something with him! I've never seen the 7th episodes. Blasphemy, I know.

Seven is amazing. I don't officially have a favorite doctor but if I did it would probably be either him or Two.

Seven is a brilliant Doctor. I haven't seen too many of his serials, and the plots rather frighten me, but I adore Sylvester's Doctor. And meeting Sylv at Gallifrey One. I actually have some video of the interview here. It's hard to hear and I replaced the video with just an image because it was really far away, but I think you get the gist. There's more about it in my post about the con.

Watched abit of the one where Ace beats the Dalek. Want to see him in more. Always looked pretty cool.

Oh, ... of the Daleks was fun! Remembrance? Clifford would know. He should be here right now.

Okay. It's official. Seven has toppled Three (I told you they switch around a bit right?) and this was the deciding factor: www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0S39UtuWbUFunniest out-take ever!

I totally posted the link to that here somewhere.
But, yes. That has to be the best out-take ever to be taken out.

HAHAHA
I've already seen that somewhere, but it doesn't get any less funny - I've just watched it about five times and I'm still laughing. Slyv doesn't just rock, he rawks! And I love the way his voice gets more Scottish the louder he gets.

We were just watching 'Time and the Rani' - which is a complete ball of cheese when it comes to the costumes and plot, etc. but he's just soooo adorable! Everything from the way he almost goes crosseyed when he looks at anything closely to his skidding around corners on one foot to his wonderfully cute confusion over what he looks like. Still in my top faves!

he also plays the spoons across the Rani's er... assests, if I remember right. Actually, that's all I *do* remember. That and "leave the girl; it's the man I want"
oh Rani.

As Prim said, we were watching Time and Rani. Seven was just adorable! When he found out Mel was really Mel he had this adorable look on his face when he said "Mel?" *huggles Seven* He's definately one of my favorites. Right up there with Three.

"leave the girl; it's the man I want" oh Rani. Haha - yes, gotta love dialogue like that (no, really, you've gotta; it's the law. My law, anyway). Okay, it's hard to go holding up the Season 24 stories as, well, good stories or anything (Clocket will now come back saying that Paradise Towers is brilliant, and it is, in its own way. No other television programme of that era, or this, would go confronting the kiddies with cannibalistic pensioners at seven o'clock on a Wednesday night ;D). Nevertheless, McCoy just has that, McCoy-like quality. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for random displays of inappropriate talent at odd moments, like random swordfights, musical numbers or magical tricks dropped in apropos of not much, but I really like it when Sylv just starts playing the spoons, or clowning about, which he continues to do to an extent in the later seasons, like that bit where he's goofing off singing "As Time Goes By" in Happiness Patrol, or doing conjuring tricks in Gratest Show in the Galaxy. It's just part of the charm, as I say, every bit as much as the Angry Seven moments in the later seasons, or the great way he interacts with his companions (especially Ace, I'll admit, but he and Mel have their moments).

Aw, JJPOR, now you've gone and reminded me of Paradise Towers and how awesome it is and how it isn't on DVD and how this makes me sad (because Red Kangs are the Best!)
BTW, I quite like the new avatar. Oh Sutekh, you rascal you.
speaking of which... what's happening with that icon/siggy contest thingy?

Aw, JJPOR, now you've gone and reminded me of Paradise Towers and how awesome it is and how it isn't on DVD and how this makes me sad (because Red Kangs are the Best!) Speaking of DVDs (and not meaning to taunt you in your despair in any way), all I will say is, Battlefield! It's pretty good you know, in a cheap, oldschool Who sort of way; I find that a lot of the things I sort of criticised it for in the past I am now sort of chuckling indulgently at in my newfound ultra-tolerant oldschooler persona; even the lousy swordfights and that bit where Mordred just starts cackling like a loon - for about HALF AN HOUR - for no good reason. And Morgaine is just all sorts of cool, as is the Brig. And the DESTROYER - not quite as sanity-shattering horrifying as my 11-year-old self thought he was, but you can see where a lot of the budget for this story went! And 1989 UNIT are about twenty times better than 2008 UIT; love the multinational aspect, all Brits and Poles and Czechs and French and whatnot together; especially the Czechs' vaguely sinister Eastern Bloc uniforms. And Ancelyn's a laugh, with his passive-aggressive romancing of Brig. Bambera. Anyway, I came away from it with some serious Seven Love going; love his little scenes with Ace, the relationship they have. And his scenes with the Brig are pretty good too. And this story has, like, the all-time record for angry/goofy Seven scenes - I think he spends, like, half the running time grimacing and bugging his eyes out and rasping out oddly-intoned threats at the baddies. Great stuff, if you like that kind of thing (which I'll confess I do!). Aw, and reading some of the above back, it sounds like I'm making fun of Sylv, but really I'm not; I do love him as the Doctor, the unique qualities he brought to the role; really. And, yeah, old Sutekh, I love him as well; obviously there's the small matter of him being unspeakably evil, inherently destructive etc, but nobody's perfect. Oh, oh, and something that me and my mate who I watched this with were giggling our heads off at, but will almost certainly mean nothing to most of you, but Major Husak, the Czech UNIT officer, looks uncannily like Grahame LeSaux, an English footballer who used to play for Chelsea some years ago. We thought so, anyway.
