They came! Two tapes, ten episodes! It's "The Chase" and "Remebrance of the Daleks" which are the two must-have Dalek episodes. "The Chase" is from the first Doctor, and it's in colour! "Remembrance of the Daleks" in Sylvester McCoy, who I think is Doctor 7. Katherine?
I must decend into my Dalek lair to watch them.

Yessir, McCoy is Seven. We're all so very happy for you, Clifford. Really.
...And I'd like to borrow Remembrance of the Daleks, if possible. ^^;

They are so AWSOME!!!!!!! I've watched all ten of the episodes! Need more! I enjoyed Doctor 7, he's like Rowan Atkinson.
Oh! Now I've seen Doctors 1,2,4,7,9, and 10! Weee! And Katherine, we know you've seen all of them.
I think I can lend you Remebrance. But I have to watch it again. Mwuahahaha!

You can find nearly every episode on youtube, just search 'Doctor Who episode name' and you're bound to find it.
You must see Three, Five, Six, and Eight. xD Three has a cape, Five has celery on his lapel, Six's coat is self-explanatory, and Eight forgets who he is.
o.o You do that...

I didn't. It said it was in colour on the box, but it isn't. That was sad. I can, however, watch black-and-whiet productions, unlike many people today. Apart from the terrible companions and some bad acting, it was still good. And the wardrobes people should have been fired.

The Chase is regarded as a bit of a classic amongst us fans in the Uk and is longed for to be released on DVD.

It was quite a good serial. But again, I must stress that the writers were too far ahead of their time, and the technology they had.

I think that just about sums up the old (or Classic) Doctor Who perfectly.
The writing was always years ahead of its time and they had to make do with the resources that they had available to them at that time.
I've always thought that 1970's Who has not dated as much as 1980's Who when it comes to special effects etc. What do others think?

I think that with the exception of the wobbly Daleks, Doctor 7 (1980's) wasm' too bad. I mean obviously it couldn't hold two birds to a modern Doctor Who, but it was very much better than the other, tech wise.

I think with the McCoys they were just getting back to top form again and then they had the plug pulled after Survival which was a great great shame.
Out of the 1980's Who I think Davison's Doctor suffered the most when it came to special effects.... check out Four To Doomsday... and the Radiophonic music irrated me loads as there was so much of it and, at times, drowned some of the dialogue out.

That brought on a giggle fit. Seriously, you have to see Three and Five. Is love.
Early four and a few of his later episodes have aged perfectly. I doubt new who will age as well. Then there's Horns of Nimon which I watch when I'm depressed because the sheer cheese crack me up.

I'm learning these new-fangled abbreviations!) is so in the present day that in, say, 20 years time, will look very dated.

I'm not sure I agree. I think that today we have reached such a level of detail and realistic-looking CGI that it will look very much the same in twenty years.

Yeah, the CGI effects certainly won't age in the next 20+ years, but I was refering to the modern day settings on Earth... they may age in the next few years.
Even back to the first Episode, Rose, they included "modern day" red double-decker buses to give it that "London" feel (filmed in Cardiff!) and London hasn't had red double-deckers for about three years now!
