I was listening to something we were playing in orchestra and I thought it sounded like music that would be played on the planets of the time lords. It's called the Symphonic Metamorphoses by Hindemith. It is abstract and modern music (as in 20th century) If you guys can here it give me some feed back.

I prefer R.E.M. myself.......... the best band in the world! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They're awsome! The only rock I listen to. And they can't really be called that anyway. Hindesmith is far inferior to Boccherini, or Locatelli, or Fiala, and let's not forget Corelli.

Back on topic, *cough* I wouldn't know, I haven't heard it, though the Time Lords only had one planet, Gallifrey. And that one planet is either currently destroyed or uninhabited. And you can't judge all Time Lords by the Doctor, seeing as he's the last and somewhat of a black sheep.

All 80's pop (except for Boy George and Micheal Jackson who scare me to death), Dixie Chicks, Fleetwood Mac, Saving Jane, 40's and 50's jazz, classic rock and of course... Ben Folds Five. I have varing very odd tastes in music.

I'll stand for Classical music. I like (in no particular order):
-Boccherini (The Italian genius!) -Beethoven -Mozart (Some) -Late Bach -Corelli -Fiala -Locatelli -Vivaldi -Verdi (Even some of the opera) -Strauss -Tchaicovksy (First Piano Concerto! Awsomeness!) -Nardini -Fiorillo -Breval -Stamitz -Platti -Haydn -Teason -Handel -Mouret -Albinoni -Pachelbel (Despite Canon being the worst 'cello part ever written.) -Purcell -Clarke -Marcello -Mahler -Charpentier
And probably a few more.
And we all know, of course, that Wagner and Scriabin suck, a lot.

You like Classical music? You're my new favorite person! There are actually quite a few of those composers you listed that I haven't heard of, which is extremely rare for me; most people have only heard of the most common. You also win for knowing who Mahler and Platti are. I'll just add a couple more that I like that aren't on the list yet: -Chopin -Gurlitt -Kuhlau -Rachmaninov -Schumann -Scarlatti -Seixas

Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Strauss, Tchaicovksy, Haydn, Handel, Pachelbel, Chopin, Wagner, Rachmaninov, Schumann, Mahler....thats my list. I don't really like/know anyone else. Only who I've danced to or that my Nana listens to on Sunday afternoons.

I really don't hate any composers and Clifford I take back what I said about Boccherini. He is pretty good. Now if only I could find music and play it.

Now if only I could find music and play it. ...but some personal favorites are Tchaikovsky, Grainger (British, yay!), Beethoven, Holberg, Hindemith, Saint-Saens (French, sorry Kit), Verdi (only the instrumental music), Bach, Handel, Mozart, Brahms, Dvorak (American ), Debussy, Stravinsky, Holst, Copland, Vivaldi, Glinka (truthfully the only song I heard was heard overture to Ruslan and Ludmilla, but its fine), John Williams (pretty recent), Mendelssohn, Benjamin Britten (an other British!), Bizet, Sibelius, and Berlioz.

I knew I had forgotten a few:
-Chopin -Rachmaninov -Scarlatti -Debussy (Or DeBussy) -Schumann -Brahms -Beach (Not, not Bach, Beach.)
Anyone who likes Wagner, Scriabin or Dvorak should be beaten.
And to Lynda: I live clssical music. Especially Calssical classical musin. Late Baroque is good, and so is the first half of the Romantic period. Modern stuff though, ewwww.
I live for the Classical Italians. Boccherini would be the best of these.

I love to play classical and jazz music, they are so fun! I love to play Romantic pieces and Bach...Mozart and Haydn get so technical that I lose the muscic trying to get the technique right...I LOVE Beethoven and Vivaldi though and some Chopin.... Modern music is horrible to play...Atonal music confuses me but the speed part is pretty cool once it is done right...
